Here's the scenario.
Got a 2001 W210 with 2 auto folding, auto dimming mirrors & no EIS key to turn the car on to fold them back in order to gain access to the screws.
These mirrors are fantastically expensive to buy bit by bit - nearly £700 each for a complete one with the cover £65-ish, the motor £50-ish, the frame £240-ish & the glass £290-ish, so I'd really like to get the pair off intact.
Is there a way to get them in the folded back position? Can I just use gentle, firm pressure & push them into the folded position or will this damage them? The car is a breaker so attacking the problem from the inside of the door is an option.
