HOWTO : SLK Evolution Pedal Mod - W202 & W211

Just went to order these:

W202 manuals:
A 170 300 00 04 : gas pedal
A 170 290 02 82 : brake pedal
A 170 290 00 82 : clutch pedal
A 203 430 00 84 : parking brake pedal

And the parts guy said that the brake pedal was no longer available and had been replaced by the part code for the clutch pedal?! they had the accelerator and parking ones, but dont wanna order without the full set!

Anyone else got a W202 manual and can confirm the correct part numbers for the four pedals please?

on a manual i can only assume the brake pedal and clutch pedals are the same size?

I have ordered the manual ones before and IIRC the brake and clutch pedals looked very similar. Why not order just one of them to see if it fits both? That should answer your question! :)

can anyone confirm the part numbers i need for a W124....
am i correct in thinking:

A 170 300 00 04 : gas pedal (round dots)
A 170 290 01 82 : brake pedal (round dots)

i'm not sure what one will fit a W124:

A 203 430 00 84 : parking brake pedal (round dots)
OR
A 230 430 00 84 : parking brake pedal (oval dots)

i'd prefer to have the A203 part as they will match the gas and brake pedals, however i fitted the 230 part to my CLK when i had it...

can anyone confirm?

thanks

Derek

Excellent, thats one mod I can do this weekend!

The only obvious difference between the brake and clutch is that one of them has an extra lip of rubber on it (not sure which but likely the brake as the brake pedal from the auto also has the extra lip of rubber on it).

I have cropped a photo I took in 2004 of both items, not sure which is which as the part numbers are not pictured and I posted them to Africa the same day!

Parts picked up ready to fit. £22 and some change.

Hey,

Sorry to bring back on old (but great) thread!

I'm picking up a 2003 ML350 Inspiration Auto this weekend and want to re-do this mod on the W163 like I did on my W202 as soon as I get it so want to order the part from the dealer asap.

Part numbers as follows :-

A 170 290 01 82 : brake pedal
A 203 430 00 84: parking brake pedal
???? : gas pedal

Any idea on the gad pedal as it's nothing like the W202 one. Can post a pic if needed.

Thanks again :)

He's got a 2003 ML350 I believe :)

In that case......

My lad has a ML320 Sport. Do you(s) reckon that if I get the dealer to bring up my lad's cars data card on their computer I could get the part numbers that UniqueTouch is after that way?

Portzy

yep, cheers Steve (High-Lo).

Portzy, it's worth a try, any help appreciated...not sure if the sport model came with the pedals?

Cheers
