HOWTO : SLK Evolution Pedal Mod - W202 & W211

I bought a set of these from eBay a while back and fitted them to my CLS, think I was robbed as I paid about £45 for all 3 but hey-ho. I only replaced the rubber on the accelerator rather than the whole pedal but it was still some effort to get the old rubber off.

I was glad to see the CLk came with them fitted!

I also note these parts don't seem to be available from dealers, I asked my parts dept and they said no. I did not quote part numbers and merely asked for the AMG pedals which may have been a mistake.

They look so much better, although the rubber goes that nasty milky white colour quite often and needs a clean up.

Who can help with the part numbers for the pedals on W209 as I don't want the accelerator pedal look like this on my parents CLK

Cheers!

Did anyone manage to source these for a W220 ?

the non AMG W220 has this part number for the gas pedal: A2203000104

whereas the S65 AMG has this number A2203000304

i wonder if the 304 number is the alloy pedal....??? may be worth asking at the dealer.

the brake pedals are the usual W123 ones as mentioned in previous posts.

hope this helps Steve

Thats outragous .. just replace the entire pedal with the metallic and stud one. Its a 170 part number , should be the same pedal as a 208

I think that's a 209 CLK pictured - the pedal looks physically quite a bit different to the regular 202/208/210 etc type - it's not hinged at the top like the others.

wowsers, thats an expensive pedal..

Does anybody know if the W209 sport model came with fancy pedal rubbers?

That's not pic of actually w209, that's the pic of some member here, couple of pages earlier

If the W209 is a facelift model, the pedal is combined with the throttle sensor and costs around £100!!!
Well, there should be probably the fancy metal pedal WITHOUT that sensor, that will be the same size, and it would be a DIY

Nope, It's the W204 on the pic ;) Here's original post:

Hi all, just carried out the "official MB Club mod" to my W204.

Brake and parking brake was a straight swap, the loud pedal not quite so as it was completely a different shape. Some photo's here, question is: - Does the throttle pedal look ok as it (new part) is slightly shorter than original?

If the general consensus is that it's looks cr#p, does anyone know the correct part I require?

Don't count on there being a fancy pedal cover for a facelift W209 that is available by itself that would fit any better than the pic...

Gonna get my order in to Merc Watford today :D

if its a drive by wire pedal, as per w211, then get the cheaper pedal, slide the metal\studded part off and after sliding the rubber off ur old pedal it will slide onto the new one!

Alps, that is quite interesting

I have the normal one and have stripped off the shiny bit already.

You have given me the confidence to attempt the refit :D

Fingers crossed that Saturday is dry!

on the accellerator pedal near the top there will be a plastic screw type lug, take this out and the pedal will flop down, enabling you to slide the rubber off ( you could even cut the old one off and fairy liqued the new one to help it slide on!

Looking more and more appealling :D

But I bet it will rain like mad now I am motivated!

Cheers for the advice :thumb:
