HOWTO : SLK Evolution Pedal Mod - W202 & W211

yep, cheers Steve (High-Lo).

Portzy, it's worth a try, any help appreciated...not sure if the sport model came with the pedals?

Cheers

I'm 99% certain my lad has these on his sport. I'll get his reg today and call round to the dealers, could take me a day or so because I'm away from home part of this week.

Portzy.

SLK Evolution pedal mod

Is this mod possible on a W168? If so, any ideas on part numbers..?

Thanks
Chris

Just to be an annoying git, could anyone get me the part no's for the W210 and W204?

Ta muchly!

portz, you sir are a gentleman :) thanks so much!

Hello again.

I tried but I'm afraid I couldnt get the numbers you needed:(.

I used my sons registration from his ML but apparently, from the EPC, his car has a "Chrome Pack" and an "Alloy Pack" which is for, amongst other things, the pedal set.

It would appear that the pedals themselves are a slightly different shape if they come without the stainless/rubber inserts than if they do and the parts people advised that the inserts may not fit a non "Alloy Pack" vehicle.

I wouldnt want to have you on a wild goose chase and possibly wasting your money so we didnt persue it any further than that because it looked to me, from the EPC, that you would have to change all the pedal assemblies as well.

Sorry that I couldnt get you a result.

Portzy.

I had the change done just before Christmas, and to confirm parts n prices for w124 auto

Part numbers as follows :-
same as W202 autos:
A 170 300 00 04 : gas pedal £9.78
A 170 290 01 82 : brake pedal £8.87
A 203 430 00 84 : parking brake pedal £4.91

Does include 10% discount (because I asked) but add vat to it.

Also recommend going through dealers and cheaper than many examples on fleaBay.

I want to get a set of these pedals for my c200 98, ive got the part numbers and went through some old posts on the site regarding places for parts but im having no luck in finding them anywhere. Do i need to go to a main dealer and ask them to order me the 4 pedals. If so is it a main dealer in Manchester (nearest 1 to me ).

Jay

Yes, in this case the dealer is usually the best place. They are listed for silly prices on eBay. Try contacting partsspecialist (forum member) who works at MB Manchester. He may give you a member discount :bannana:.

Oops, you must be near to the required number, not sure what it is (10?).

He (Gareth) is also on eBay as mbmancparts07 - you could try that route if you don't want to wait until you can pm him on here.

Accelerator pedal £11.07 ...

Put it in without the spaces ;)

Is there any easy way to get the accelerator pedal on? Ive managed to get the brake and foot brake on, but the 'pin' just wont budge on the accelerator. I find my self leaning over the door sill, head in the foot well with right hand holding a pair of leathermans (pliers) to hold the pointed end 'together' and then a screw driver in the other hand to try and prise the 'pin' out. Just doesnt budge! I end up getting pi**ed off with it as either of the screw driver or pliers just slip off. Any ideas? Or magical solutions?

Cheers.

Got them at last

I have ordered the parts from the lcoal dealer 25 days ago,the dealer phoned me yesterday telling me of the aarival of the parts,I picked them yesterday ,both side brake and brake fit easily, the gas pedal is a totaly different story (as Rik Johnoson said).
Did you all W124 owners go the same way as Rik johnson?
Rik Johnsons W124.036
I don't have a dremel!! what can I do?

What about spraying with wd 40 or silicon oil and try and push it out with a small socket say 10 mm or smaller, so as you push it in taper goes into socket and push it throu
