v230
hi

my v230 have developed a lack of power and splutter under load. it is fine driving sensibly but as soon as i put my foot down or go up a hill in 4th or 5th it develops a spluter and stays spluttery! until turned off then re-started.

just under the air inlet manifold there is a 12v fuel pump which looks like someone has put it in? it is fitted to the return line back to tank so is sucking fuel back to the tank, is this normal/standard?

i have just changed this pump to the feed line to the engine in hope that is was just sucking it through and now will push fuel into engine but it wont start? might be air in system but got dark and i got fed up.

any info or advie would be greatfully recieved.

also i had the fuel tank off. is there a pump in the tank, i took the white plastic thing out which looked like the fuel gauge sender to clean it up. just didnt see a lift pump.

Are you sure that isn't a non return valve in the return pipe to stop drain back?

can anyone tell me where the coolant temperature sender for the ecu to read on my v230? got some wires not conected and think this might be the cause of my splutteryness?
its had new
-MAF
-leads
-coil packs
-spark plugs

what other sensors might affect the fueling, i understand the ecu reads a temperature sensor but unsure where it is?

thanks
