Just joined - Q about SatNav CD

I have just purchased my first MB a 2001 E320 CDi Estate with a COMAND sat nav and was wondering if anyone has any advice about getting an up to date navigation CD for the UK. I can see there are lots of posts for COMAND systems but not sure what version mine is. Any help much appreciated.

Option 1 is buy online from Comand Online Ltd .

Option 2 is contact Alfie or Richard - both members here - first.

Yours will be a comand 2 which takes the DX disks.

Picking the car up in 2 hours, it's been a long wait since Tuesday evening when I put down the deposit!
Next question is - is TMC worth the extra £50? and will I have to listen to Classic FM while I use it? Presumably I can use the CD Magazine instead?

Not sure...

On my old TomTom, TMC was shoing problem spots, but it did not alter the route accordingly, so was not much help.

On my COMAND (retrofitted by Alfie and Richard), TMC integrates with the SatNav to find the best route taking into account traffic conditions ('Dynamic Router'), which is brilliant.

So depending on what TMC they are offering... if it is the former, I would say not worth it, if the latter, then definitely yes.
