Owning a 211 is not cheap but these cars need spoiling.

Whenever they go into the main dealership for servicing then they should get ALL the required service updates, some of which are extremely beneficial.

Some folks tend to get their cars serviced at a main dealer and then get extra work carried out by a garage that has the equipment to do this. Others of course are quite happy to use the excellent specialists that we all are aware of

Service upgrades can also be done by some specialists and I would recommend 211 owners that go this route use them.

DVD COMAND APS 2008 South East Asia Naviation Map

i have an imported W211 MY2008 from Europe.
It is fitted with NEW COMAND NTG2.5 with 40G HDD, SD Card, 6 DVD Changer, Bluetooth Telephone and Navi. It is manufactured by MELCO, Model No BZ9880.

The preloaded map is of EURO 2008, I am in Singapore and and have just purchased the DVD Coamand APS 2008 South East Asia Ver 1.1. (A 171 827 16 59 / B6 782 3939).

The Comand is already with Euro map now, when I inserted the DVD, it says "unable to update map, please contact MB Service"

Could anyone please assist me to solve this problem?

I can confirm there is a new NAV DVD for W211 and this is

• The following countries were the prime and Complete significantly expanded coverage: Estonia: + 98%, Greece: + 37%, Croatia: + 32%, Latvia. + 97%, Lithuania: + 97%
• Throughout Western Europe is covered with the version of 2009/2010! Nearly 8.6 million kilometers of road knows the menu in version 2009/2010 Europe.
• In Eastern Europe, the Baltic States, Greece, Poland, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia and the Czech Republic fully covered.

There are also significantly more points of interest on the DVD.

UK differences: The disk now has the ITIS and the Trafficmaster TMC tables for UK which should improve the traffic re-routing TMC functionality (ITIS v5.1 and TRAFFICMASTER v3.1) and now approx 100% of house number range coverage.

I doubt it, unfortunately.

I believe this is a head unit software matter, not a navi DVD data issue.

Sadly no it wont.

Thats only available on some MY2009 coamnd systems.

Hi, I have just bought SLK 200 (R171). It comes with Comand system and GPS. But the DVD I got is Hong Kong Map DVD. Because I live in Indonesia and it still classified as South East Asia, I want to ask:
- where u did buy the south east asia map
- is it included Indonesia map?
- have you sucessfully installed it on your comand system?

Does the new updated version 11 European map for W211 Comand include the recently completed Irish constructed motorways ?
1. Dublin to Cork 2. Dublin to Waterford

Is it possible to have POI's...Hotels, schools, speed limit warnings etc. as on Garmin GPS on the MB maps.
