Car
BMW e89 35i Z4 - MB S205 C200
lol so a few days after the C class was taken away by BCA at the end of its agility plan I thought I wonder if I could buy it back at a lower price now?

So I rang BCA, no knowledge of it. So I spoke with MBUK, no idea where it is, then MBFS, don’t keep records after BCA collect it, then BCA logistics oh yes we have a record of collecting it but we don’t know where it is now.

Seriously? lol

I'm guessing that they would rather not set a precedent by selling the car back to you at a lower price than the balloon.

They genuinely don’t know where the car is! Therefore don’t know who’s responsible for it to even explore any options.

It probably won't show up on the system till it's sold.
Now days they haven't got a clue from breakfast till ****holes with these "integrated systems" that don't communicate with each other.

Suppose you found it. Would you really buy it back if it was less than the GMFV?

usually goes to a closed dealer only auction, you will not get to see it as it keeps the prices up artificially

I suspect that someone knows exactly where the car is but they don't want to tell you.

I find that an odd approach if it’s the case. A) why not sell it back, a sale is a sale. B) optionally say it’s got to go to retail.

They'll have a defined process that they follow day in, day out, processing hundreds of thousands of cars across the block. What you have done is step outside that process, for which there is no contingency.

So it's easier to tell you they don't know so you go away and leave them in peace.

If it’s relatively new with nice mileage on it’ll go to a closed auction, thousands of cars similar to yours are sold this way on a regular basis.

My last car was invisible for something like 2 months before it appeared in the auction list.

I don't thnk MBFS (or any other finance utfit) will care once it's returned. It just gets put into the general pool of cars to be processed and moved on to auction.
