Love low mileage cars?

1999 MERCEDES SL280 AUTO RED | eBay

Looks nice, but is the asking price achievable? I'm not sure on the price of these cars so what do you guys think?

I have for sale a classic Mecedes SL280 which has 31,000 miles on the clock.

It has a full dealer service history and it has tax and MOT.

It is always garaged and covered.

One owner to January 2012 and only 1000 miles since then.

i dont think its worth that, low milage is over rated, i would rather have a few more miles with more services amd pay less for it

and its a 280, my mate has a 300 sl and he tells me its a bit sluggish, (his words not mine)

loads of these cars around and loads for a lot less with better engines

I quite like the colour. It's a soft top sports car so red is okay; it goes well with the cream leather too. The real problem is the engine.
I do still think somebody will pay that though.

i know it has more miles, double i think but hey its half price and a better colour combo (in my opinion)

Both interiors look a lot more worn and neither show the condition of the soft top. Green is not a great colour on an SL. The red one is newer, face-lifted and looks mint, hence worth more.
Also, £6995 is not half of £11000

valid point about the interiors although im sure interior cleaner would do wonders

it was an exact calculation

as for the green one, its green black no? and the red one is the wrong shade of red

Hexagon classics in South Kensington have an early 500 with 14k on the clock - up at £20k. I must admit smiling when I saw it in the garage up high on the lift in amongst the "proper" classics up for hundreds of thousands.

R129 is almost there in getting some classic status.....
