Love the shape and classic lines

Just what I was going to say, I think this is a scam.
Email seller to bid, new member, no feedback, and no reserve, also a very poor and general description of the car.

"almost rust free" "never displayed any signs of rust" (contradictory)
"by any standards a rare and desirable car" "by any standards a rare and collectable car" (pushing it a bit??)

And can someone explain what "established paintwork" means???

No feedback, brand new member, doesn't read very well.
I would be cautious.

Yep this is a pretty strong scam if presumed scam, hes done it with a car that the seller knows will attract victims and go to a high ending price, although no one 'should' be stupid enough to pay online but its pretty ovbious thats what the sellers goal is thus asking for an email address contact also notice no phone number either a geuine seller would either show the number or mention email for phone number and as mentioned before the description is just not good enough to be genuine. My advice would be to avoid or to arrange visits to actully see the car and seller in person

Just noticed this on the Spec:

Manufacturer's Warranty Expiry Date: Jul 2008

Surely that cant be true.

They built them to last in those days ;)

These normally sell for a lot more than this.
Its not the kind of car you buy off ebay

This could be a fantastic bargain

or a scam

It's about 15 grands worth, give or take. I think the scam is something to do with the fact that you have to contact him before you can bid. Presumably that's when the wild goose chase will begin..

Ebay do offer an 'Approved Bidder Only' option ..... but this guy has not taken it , which suggests that it's not above board ...

The one in the original post was sold fairly recently on Ebay, surprise, surprise, same pictures.

I know nothing about these cars only I love the look, so no idea of this one but looks nice?

They do indeed look wonderful. Perfect proportions, looks just right from any angle. A masterpiece I reckon.
