Pretty much the same car, but for less than half the price :) Much better option!

Yes, the miles are higher, but you get leather interior and you can drive it without worrying about putting on too many miles, LOL

Exactly like that. If I were looking for a decent enough W124 Cabrio I would be looking for something like this. Much better use of £8k ish if you ask me. Won't be a collector's car or an appreciating classic but you may be better using/driving this one and then sticking the other £10k or so split across 4 gold mining stocks split £2.5k a piece!

wouldnt be £20k of my money, but then it doesnt appeal to me, i do appriciate a low mileage old car, few years ago a local dealer and friend had a 1,100 mile 420 SL in non metalic red, with cream leather with red piping along with the hard top. I can express how perfect this car was. Was for sale for £40k then £36k and now it sits in his showroom "not for sale"

this will be the same, e500 teritory which would you have??? a mint beast or the cab, good luck to him if he gets it, asking and getting are far apart

Both cars imports- puts me off - must be UK supplied car
Manual - i assumed would have been ordered for a 220 Cab - so stunned to see on 320- i've never ever seen ANY 320 saloon/estate/coupe with manual box - must be at most a handful only

You are probably right. I just don't get the whole concept of a car that doesn't get driven and appreciated I suppose. In my book a car is there to be driven and enjoyed. If people can get the same level of enjoyment just looking at it as opposed to driving it then good luck. I don't think I have the creativity or imagination to do that! ;)

So many people seem to think low mileage is the sign of a great second hand car, I've always thought that condition and history/ receipts are much more important. It's a nice 124 but destined to be a garage queen - would far rather have a 100k miler that I'm not scared to drive for fear of putting miles on it. Fair enough, there are collectors who just want to polish and admire, but I don't understand the fascination with mileage.
