Maserati Quattroporte - Am I Mad?

Hi Lee,

Still not got one yet?

I have stumbled into this Forum researching CLS55's after our chat on the phone.

I really shouldn't but I can't help myself.

Haha, you're worse than me for cars! :D

Not bought owt yet pal, I'm hoping yours doesn't sell then I'll have it in a few months time...;)

Are you thinking of swapping the QP for a CLS55?

Come on Lee, you know you want to, JFDI.

It's now or never.

Nay, I say.
Could you be tempted with a late model L322 Autobiography, perhaps Supercharged, sir?

Not quite...

I'll buy one later this year to sit alongside whichever family 4x4 we've got, not as the main mode of transport.

I'd love to pal but the wife won't drive one until we're at least 40, although if I become fat and bald she said I might be able to buy one sooner! :D

I've got a chap coming to view the car next weekend so I expect she'll leave me then.

Yes, a CLS55 is on my bucket list so it'd be rude not too. I'm "downsizing" if my wife asks as it's only got the 4 seats... Will see what happens.

If you haven't been put off by anything you've read, then clearly "the force is strong" and you should just get one as you plan...

I'd love a Granturismo as that is right up my street but maybe in a few years.

£50k gets you a 10 plate now.
Totally utterly smoked the heck out of one few weeks ago, as if it was standing still.

Looks good and that's about it. Badly badly made.

Harry finally joins the AMG63 Massive ......

:D

Really can't shake this wanting and I'm coming to the conclusion that I'd rather take the chance on a Maserati and it's foibles than even look boz-eyed at another BMW; the past month or so really puts it all into perspective...

Can't deny they sound great when they come pasted in the street.
I think ownership will be expensive (relative to a BMW/Merc) when you take all inti account, but hey, its only money.

I often thought a Quattroporte would be the replacement for my CLS55 when I sold that, but the GFC meant an Alpina had to do for a year or so.

Hallelujah he's found religion (so to speak) hope you find one shortly, perhaps a dealer group like **** Lovett could help you get rid of the X5 as they have a BMW franchise as well?

It's sold, being collected Wednesday morning.

I think they are the nicest looking 4 door on the market, I did seriously look at one as it had vented seats and everything you could possibly want in a Luxo Barge did a test drive but chickened out.
If I remember rightly they put a nice auto-box in it unlike the Gambiocorsa rubbish in the 4200

Excuse me if I have got this wrong, but didn't you buy an X5 not that long ago? What's the story with that? No good?
