Mercedes c220d service

Who is he /they?

Worn suspension bushes as stated can cause vibration under breaking. It's worth checking if it is still a problem with 👍
They are an independent specialist recommended by this website, having high ratings on Google reviews.

Only option would be to check with Mercedes’ but they are going to charge £150

Any garage can check for suspension wear. Most of the fast fit centres may do so FOC. 👍

As said you are still within the 12 months, take it back and get them to sort it, or see them in court. Myself after swapping wheels and balancing i would be under their with a bar checking every joint and bush including top of shocks. Best of luck.

The problem is that it is now ebcumbent on the OP to prove that faults were there at the time of sale.

Seeing them in court is not realistic as they could successfully argue that the car was sold as described and with an MOT and any problems that have arisen since are normal wear and tear that should be expected with high mileage vehicle.

The tyres on the car are sunny budget tyres. Took the car for wheel balance and still have the same problem. Decided to accept and carry on driving
My other half had this on his Range Rover. It felt bouncy like driving on a washboard. Wheels balanced and alloys checked for roundness. The LR indie had it up on the ramps and they put a straight edge on the tyre. Then started the car and drove it. He said the tyre out of shape was immediately apparent. Tyres were continentals and only a couple of years old. The car was in daily use so no standing around. He was right, new tyres brought back the flawless ride.

Your spot on

I’m going to change the tyres next month before my MoT. V12 always use cheap tyres 👎

Mb service plans are only good if you hit on a year where a service like an A7 etc fall inline, otherwise your paying £1200 for 3 oil changes , do your homework. Oh and Halfords batteries are made by a top battery maker , they are good batteries that come with a 5 year warranty. 👍👍
We find the Halfords batteries some of the worst out there. Fit genuine and there are no issues. We have had genuine batteries last 15 years!

Independent specialists have quoted me £900. George Fraiser quoted £1198. The gearbox service is costing between £400-500. Mercedes quoted £350.

I’m just going to do the A service with brake fluid, air and fuel filter. Mercedes quoted me £620
Did we quote you?

My start and stop wasn’t working and was told I needed a Mercedes’ battery. Paid £300. Then I was told I needed a software update, which didn’t work. Guy told me I needed a voltage converter changed, still nothing.

Went to Mercedes’ and they told me the battery sensor needed replacing.

A lot of the independent specialists don’t know what they are doing. If I stuck with Mercedes’, I would have easily saved £300.

I’m doing A7 in September along with the MOT, following year will be B service. The previous owner didn’t service the car with Mercedes’.
Most independents are decent but IF faults are not obvious and you have to start somewhere. Plugging them in doesn't tell you everything. The battery and voltage converter are the the first items to look at with that issue. They can be easily tested and if there is a hint of poor battery performance its best to change them. Battery voltage and amperage is more important than ever and a slightly weak battery or voltage converter can cause the stop start not to work. It has so many parameters for the system to operate fully that its not an exact science.

I paid for Geninue Mercedes’ battery £300.

If your George Fraiser, yes. You told me the Mercedes’ service plan that I was offered was value for money
I am not.

The service plan is certainly not good value for money in most cases.
