wow how clever . wonder what the reaction would be if a 18 /20 old had uploaded a clip doing that speed instead of a grown man acting like a child ..

so you think its acceptable for a grown man to act like a idiot just to upload a video/clip to put on you tube not given a second thought to any other motorist on the road to prove what ? when you put your foot right down on the accelerator in a c63 its very fast / and when you rev the engine it make a noise ...amazing didn't know that already what a star..

Wow, someone has some serious issues!

If you read my OP then you'll see that the video I uploaded onto Youtube is merely a collection of snippets taken from >2000 miles of travelling through Europe. This is not something I set out to do for internet-based bragging rights. In fact it's something I wished to share with those whom it may interest. To those not interested, watching the video is of course optional

I have three complaints about the videos:

1. Why didn't you change the main digital speed display to kph whilst in Europe so that it's easier to check your speed where there are speed limits?
2. If you didn't wind the windows down in the tunnel so we could hear more of that glorious engine/exhaust note, why not?
3. I'm jealous because when I was touring Europe last year I never managed to be on a bit of Autobhan that was clear enough to check out my limited top speed, instead only managing 149mph before yet another Audi pulled out in front of me!

Sounds like you were getting the same encouragement from your better half that I got from mine

Hope this answers your questions

1. I did for the most part, only changing back to MPH for the 'speedo shot'. However even when in MPH, it still displays KM/H lower in the display.

2. I had just the sunroof open. With the windows down there was too much wind noise. Actually I find it makes the best (but not loudest) noise with just the sunroof open.

3. I was faily luckly. The initial drive to Munich was on a Saturday and traffic wasn't too bad. Also the stretch (Autobahn 9 / E45) between Nuremberg and Munich, passing by Ingolstadt was fantastically quiet, straight, well-sighted and smooth (also 3 lanes). This is where the majority of the filming took place.

And why not have a blast along the Autobahn. There are plenty people on here that will be interested in seeing runs like this.....and plenty that will frown and shake there heads.

Just wait till next week for the AMG tour and there will be some serious Autobahn action from the guys that are going............unfortunatley not me though

Did the car feel like it went "light" on the front at high speed.....most C63 owners always comment that it does?

Are you planning on taking any videos of your mega-C63? I've seen a few vids of yours and it looks magnificent! 186mph would be a walk in the park!

As for the light front end, no it was pretty good actually. Certainly better than previous BMWs at 150mph.

Hoping that i will be able to attend the next Vmax200 event and see how close i can get to the 200mph mark. Just waiting for the dates to be confirmed.
