My2013 c coupe sports plus modifications

Well out of interest i tried to manipulate the CKS AMG reg holder around my existing one on the front before i put it on the boot. I think you would get away with it you know so I might order another for what they cost, worst case it snaps!!!! I think I'm gonna go with the other AMG idrive cover now I've seen yours. More bloody money, I'm addicted lol

do it! its like pringles!once you pop....

how did you bend it around the front? lol - did it look a sweet fit or like it was buckled and about to pop? i wonder if you could ask cks to make one?

I didn't spend too much time looking in to it but I get the feeling it might work. I don't think the angle of the front reg surround is that severe that it wouldnt work? Might be worth trying for 22 quid. I recon CKS just buy them in and put the AMG transfer on. Might be worth asking though!

will do!let you know what they say tomorrow mate!

It's all starting to come together guys! I'm loving the wee touches.
Anyone hear of a double bubble bonnet that would fit the Coupe?!

Dead easy mate, they simply unscrew on a coupe. I put some kitchen roll around the standard plastic ones to protect the plastic and used an ordinary set of pliers to twist them off. To aid the new ones I used a touch of silicone spray (WD40) just to ensure the threads lines up.

If anyone has a saloon I understand the rear door pins aren't quite as simple to change!!!
Did you get them from CKS mate? They look very nice!!! What have you heard about the saloon rear pins as I am seriously tempted but this may put me off... Cheers

Came today in the post - simple click over original idrive - very secure.

decent quality - (esp for the cheap price) - i reckon amg could make these for a higher price and build quality and do well !:thumb:
SWEET.... Another great mod doc!

Hi mate, No these are the genuine AMG pins from Mercedes. I called my dealer and ordered them over the phone, arrived recorded del few days later. Must admit there not cheap, just short £80 for 2 :/ crazy I know!!!!

From what I gather the rear saloon door cards may have to come off? I do know the front door pins on both saloon and coupe just screw on though. I think the rear door pins have some sort of clip so maybe a job for the dealer.

It's a questionable mod mate due to cost but they do look really classy and so much better than the plastics!!

Cheers mate, something for me to look into for sure... My local MB dealer is so unhelpful though so will have to look further a field. A pricey mod well worth the money in my opinion!! Good call and thanks for the info...

Don't lower it, you'll bugger the geometry and steering and it will look barryboi.

Regards, David (typing this on behalf of Steve infront of him as he is under doctors orders, no computer use whilst his arm recovers)

Can't you buy the C63 one and fit that?

Nope - it wouldn't fit.

Thanks for the link dresho; I see there's even more people with the same thoughts.... More cannibals!!

Managed to actually drive behind my car today (in the Mrs's ML on way to get her service done). Wot a car. It's a shame sometimes that we have to sit IN our cars, when they look this good from the outside! Bias? Nah.
