nope, no matter how many times you say it just doesn't sound right :D

Get another merc!

See only needs saying once :D

I was amazed after driving a new shape Mondeo other day (inside) at the quality, was a Ghia mind, outside though they are so boring!

Never trade a Merc for a Ford, simple as that.

Good job I didn't take you up on the offer of using it for the Devon GTG.
I would have been a murderer then

Nah, it would have made that run and she'd used it quite a lot between the GTG and the day it died (at least 300 miles)

still don't know what or why it happened and now we've sold it we never will

Andy

I used to own a J-plate 230te - auto in light metallic blue - loved the car - very grand - i think you might find just that little extra power good enough matey - enough power to wheelspin ahem... but a gents car - sold it last year for £2400 and it was immaculate... would have kept it but couldnt afford two cars :(

Emm did I read correct. Had a brand new Mondeo hire car the other month and.... I wouldnt have swapped my old c180 for it.

Call me mad, but out of the 2, I'd still have my C180.

My C180 old as it is still gets looks & the odd comment from petrol station workers :) drives amazing and has great build quality, unlike the appalling cheap plastics from Ford.

A Mondeo, is mass produced, rep mobile :(

My old car was a Mondeo (Mk1) and I'd never go back

i'm in love, i'm in love, i'm in love with a Green machine, thanks for a great day Andy you have a lovely car there shame you won't take my offer of £85.00 though, great car, great company, i'm to to look for a 320 now, where's my coat, thanks again mate. Rob

Another Member saved from oblivion. Thanks Andy. And to everyone else...... you know W124's make sense

had a small bump with the car a few weeks ago, didn't think the chap in front of me at a roundabout would stop so i went into the back of him, did quite a bit of damage though, had quotes for over £1000. After putting in a claim and waiting for reply i was made an offer i could not refuse for my car so i accepted it and off he went leaving me with no transport so i had to look around in a hurry to replace my old faithful Merc, i couldn't find a Merc that suited and could afford but have bought something else, it will do for a while till i find a car with a 3 pointed star on the bonnet. Boo hoo.
The person who can guess what i have got can have first prize of giving me a kick up the rear end, Andy K not allowed to enter. All entries greatfully received and faithfully applied. I may even post a piccie if you REALLY want to see it. :bannana: :D

Very worried for 2 reasons;

1. That a Mondeo club actually exists.

2. That YOU actually knew where to find them!!!
Give him some credit,

he's a BMW owner lost in a Mercedes forum ;)

DON'T DO IT,
the first Merc I ever bought was a 1990 300TE24 with 160,000 miles on the clock from a friend of a friend. It was quicker than all the other 3 litre engined fords and vauxhalls etc including the 24 valve senator. I sold it some years later with over 300,000 miles on the clock and she know lives in france with over 350,000 miles on the clock. The engine, gearbox, axle has never been appart and I used too tow a lot with her. I hope those ba****ds in france haven't torched her as she started the Merc addiction. If you have the need for speed then buy one with a bigger engine.

Hi Graeme, yes i know you are right, i drove Andy K's the other week and she flew but i was kind of desperate to find something quick so i looked for a Merc but nothing was around so i saw what i have got now and bought it, its not bad but its not a Merc.

When I unplug something from my Mercedes cigarette lighter socket I unplug it.

When I unplug something form my Mondeo cigarette lighter socket the socket comes out, and the ashtray, then both have to be fitted back in place! Nuff said?
