My wife's car will need replacing shortly, 55 plate Focus 1.6 Zetec. After looking at another Focus (fancied a change), she perfered to go back to a Golf which she had 10 years ago.

Drive the Deal are able to offer a good discount, so I've ordered a 5 door hatch 1.6 TDI 105 Match. With some small options included and a 3 year service package for £99 and finance at 4.9% with a £1500 deposit contribution from VW. This brought the total discount to £3714, which was good enough for us.

If I add a little to the value of the Focus to make up the maximum 30% deposit this leaves £183p/m to find for 36 months on VW Solutions.

I added Park Assist, which means it can parallel park itself, this convinced my wife to buy and only £90 with the Match. Went for a solid colour white, so saved £465 over metalic.

Anyone know where best to sell a Ford Focus with minimal hassle.

Focus are really very easy to sell. Id recommend you have a go yourself on auto trader.

p.s. someone will be along shortly to point out that you can have a c63 for the same money :)

I'm in the process of selling my wifes BMW X3. Was going to try Autotrader, but decided to try Pistonheads first as I know a few people that have sold quickly through PH and at £9.99 a month it was worth a try for a week before Autotrader. Put the ad on late night last Friday. Have had half a dozen calls and first person that came to see the car has given a deposit to buy it. (Would have left with the car if I hadn't been a muppet and forgotten to take the private plate off a few weeks ago!).

I put nine (the max allowed) good photos up and a good description. Selling price was researched beforehand (Webuyanycar/ webuyyourcar/ autotrader/ pistonheads etc) and purposely priced to sell so below dealers/traders.
I have found that Friday night/Sat are the most popular times for buyers to contact so I'd def have my advert up on whatever site no later than Thursday afternoon/evening.

Good luck selling. :thumb:

At the price MB are offering C63's at currently I don't need any encouragement. How many children do I need to make up the deposit? I probably need to save one for the running costs .
