C63 AMG - black with black wheels
Hi All,

I live in Luxembourg (just over an hour from the Nordschleife, if moving quickly) and have my eye on a brand new C63 from the local dealership. My missus gets a decent discount through her work, which would swallow up most of the depreciation.
:)

Currently I'm a biker - I have a Honda Super Blackbird. However I'm getting a bit old (31) and soft for riding in the rain and cold. Plus I have a kid (not bike friendly) and an starting 6 months parental leave as of Easter 2011, so will need to get the boy and I around to do stuff whle the missus is off at work with her car.

Just came accross this site while google-ing reviews of the C63 AMG. Off for a test drive tomorrow lunchtime. Would appreciate any suggestions for things to check out when in the car.

Ta everso

Hi and Welcome to the forum

Hello

Luxembourg you say..... at least you will be ok for petrol :) My memory of driving through customs was a straight road just full or petrol stations :)

6 Months off and a C63 to play with :)

saying that with a new born you will be too tired to drive.

PS I hope its an estate for all the stuff you will need

He will actually be 2 by then, so he's farly easy compared to a newborn!

@ The Don, So far I've got the following options:
Business pack (includes nearl everything: mirrors, ils, bluetooth, nav, parking sensors)
Keyless go
Harmon Kardon
AMG driver's package
Rear sun blinds
19" wheels

If there's anything obvous that I should add please let me know!

A Panoramic roof is a must, in my opinion.:thumb:

keyless go not available in the UK (E and C classes)

LSD is a must

LSD is a must

Thanks BlackC55, I wasn't sure about the LSD. I do intend a bit of track time (Nordschleife, Spa, etc within a short drive of here) .

Not sure about the roof - isn't it just extra weight on an already heavy car? I'll take a look see if there are any panoramic roofed ones at the dealership...

up to september 2010 std sunroof is fitted
dont think its changed

european spec is different to uk spec. in europe you can get keyless go,panroof, which i think would be stunning especialy on a white c63.

Drove an M3 yesterday after work and was quite underwhelmed. Definitely preferred the look and go of the MB

Welcome BENINLUX. I used to listen to a very famous radio station based in Luxembourg.
So at least you tried the M3 and now the way is clear for MB.
Good Luck.
