First I want to apologize to all members for taking space on your forum; I've read some of the comments and I got it - you don't like people registering in order to post one message, especially if message is not describing one of your members in a positive way. The only reason I am doing this is that I found famous Nick from Euromerc spending more time on this forum than communicating to his customers?! Actually, this seems to be the only way to get any answers from him.
Also, I have my opinion about this, which is if you are gathering around Mercedes brand name you should allow all people from all over the world that drive this car to post their opinion about this guy "selling" Mercedes parts, or anything else. I have been driving Mercedes for 30 something years and I am member of at least 5 other international Mercedes forums with thousands of postings. I hope that not being member of your forum thus far is not making me less valuable Mercedes family member.
Euromerc is by far my WORST SHOPPING FOR MERCEDES PARTS experience ever.
Long story short, I made an order, paid for it through PayPal, offered as much money as needed for international shipping – no emails with questions or objections received from Nick. During this time I sent at least a dozen of emails out of which Nick replied only to the first one, before I made this purchase. Sounds familiar?
I made at least 6 overseas telephone calls; every time Nick mumbled something ending conversation by confirming that package was shipped. Finally, after 3 weeks of waiting I asked PayPal to request a tracking number from Nick. His immediate reaction was to cancel this transaction. I called him again; his comment was "I had no choice." How providing tracking number sounds for a choice Mr. Nick? Or at least telling PayPal, “yes I shipped this package, tell customer to wait.” What gives you right to lie to people and waste their time and efforts? I would be ashamed in your place Mr. Nick and never show my face on any of Mercedes forums or any place with activity involving Mercedes name. You are shame for this community! My name and this comment will probably be removed from this forum but if at least one member reads this message and saves himself from embarrassment, I reached my goal.
Additionally, I think that Nick has a problem that requires professional help and I am not saying this in a negative way; I really wish him luck and all the best in his life and business endeavors.

Why intriguing?
I have never been able to buy anything from Nick, although he normally has the parts he never answers email questions.
Seems a shame as it would appear he has a good business that just needs a tweak.

Same old same old.....

Would be interesting if Nick posted on here to give his side of the argument.

from my experience, there would be too many arguements to respond to. I was dissapointed that the only communication I had was a PAYPAL refund received after a couple of months of no answers to my chasers on my order, I did PM via this forum in the end as a last resort. a day later my paypal refund came through. No Answer, explanation, apology etc, being out of pocket for 2 months isnt a great feeling.

action speaks louder than words so he wont be getting any business from me in future. Its shame because I understand he is a nice bloke. I think the website is selling stuff he cannot source anymore.

thats all I have to say on Euromerc

I've had a few things from Nick in the past. All have gone well apart from my last attempt to purchase a service kit. Promises of it being sent but finally having to give up left me rushing an oil change (with an oil filter and oil from elsewhere) the night before a big trip south, something i wanted and planned (by ordering well in advance) to do the weekend before.

That was a year ago, since then I've seen this type of post pop up on several forums, always the same story. I agree with what Chattonmill says, just needs to up the anti with communication/email/phone support... Shame as this has caused me to shop elsewhere even though Euromerc is probaby cheaper for genuine MB items, as i can't be bothered with the (potential) hassle.

It does seem a shame. I have seen things on his website that I would like to order. I think it would be foolish of me having seen the feedback to order alas...

I am saddened to read yet another post on this subject .

Sometimes it seems that certain people 'have it in' for Nick , then sometimes I wonder ?

I have never bought from him so can't comment .

I thought Nick had moved premises and was taking on staff to man telephones and deal with customers - or does Dan's bad experience go back a month or two ?

I haven't bought anything from this chap either and am fairly new to the forum but if you do a search on this forum then old threads do pop up and the general consensus seems to be that he's a nice bloke with a good business but lets himself down with very poor communication. When things like this appear on forums then it can only be very bad for business. Unfortunately, on the same searches you will see that the excuse going back years is that he is 'moving offices.' I know I would be very frustrated at a lack of communication and a refund doesn't make things 'alright'. I heard something the other day that said - being late and making people wait is making the assumption that your time is more important and valuable than theirs. It's a nice sentiment and stands you well in business too I think.

Hope all of this gets sorted out and this thread doesn't turn into a nasty slanging match as has happened in the past - no need for that...

Merco, I could not agree more with your statement about the time. When you are waiting for car parts there are often other people involved e.g. my mechanic, paint shop, family members etc. So, not only I made full out of myself but other people wasted their time, space etc. In my opinion wasting somebody's time by adjusting the truth is equal to other fraudulent activities. At the end, a simple "sorry' can fix the problem many times much better than instant refund can do.

From everything I've read here and on other sites, I wouldn't risk buying from him either. All I can say is, if I ran my business in the same manner Nick seems to run his, I'd have no business as my clients would simply go elsewhere. My advice Nick: sort it out before you go down...

LasicM: I think you'll find the forum to be a much more impartial place than you thought! Yes, we don't usually like hit-and-runs (1 post then dissapearing) but this is because these are usually related with adverts, spam or junk. i.e. they don't add to the community.

Hang around, I think you'll find that we're friendlier than you expected and quite useful at times ;)

As you can see, your post hasn't been removed, you haven't been banned and your VCR still works (do people still have VCRs? or am I the only one?). We don't bite (hard) ;)

Pontoneer,
My experience is very fresh. I was actually hoping until yesterday that I will get the parts, today I will order them from stealership. Being honest guy all my life, teaching my kids to be the same way, I could not simply comprehend that somebody that you are giving business to, can lie to you, repeatedly day after day. That is the reason I stated that I would like to see some help offered to this guy. This is philosophical or rather medical question: what is causing Nick to do this? Obviously he is not after money; he did not keep any of my money, he did not rush his order to make money. Maybe he wants to look important by offering non existent parts at price that is too good to be true. I should have known better because my life experience tells me if things look too good to be true, they are usually not true.

Spinal,
Maybe I prejudged this forum, and if I did, I am sorry about that. Generally you can’t say that forum is good or bad because you are talking about very diversified group of people. What caused my comments was few posting defending Nick cased by their positive experience with this business. Well guess what. If killer killed only one or two persons and he did not kill me yet, I still consider him a killer and I will alarm other people before somebody else gets killed.

I'm not really sure if this thread is of benefit to the forum? :dk:

You didn't find Nick or Euromerc through this forum, nor did you feel it necessary to contribute or post on here in the past. Long-term members on here are generally aware of Nick (and Euromerc) already...

He doesn't advertise on here at present and hasn't been causing any grief.

As you've now got a refund are you purely after bad publicity for his business?

I'm not saying he's perfect, but he's a nice chap and forum member in his own right - just seems a bit below the belt to join up for no other reason than just to stir trouble, that's all IMHO :(

Will,
As I stated in my original post, I found this forum as the only place where Nick is freely and openly communicating with "customers." I am not after any problems, or under the belt hits, nor do I care about his business. I have also contacted Mercedes Benz, PayPal and Google to take additional steps and investigate how this gentleman is buying, selling and generally taking care of his customers - they do care about his business and the way he conducts it. Sorry that I am telling you something you already know, but any forum including this one has old and new members. New members should have right to speak their mind as well. BTW, Nick's name will be on every Mercedes forum world wide soon. This is internet world and people should be responsible what they do protected by distance and inability to be seen. According to comments thus far, I don't think that his business needs any bad publicity.
Thanks for your opinion.
Dan

It's true that you have telephoned me a number of times, and each time I did explain that there is no tracking number as your bumper grille was shipped airmail small package rate, no tracking, I'm dissapointed that after our last conversation some time ago you feel the need to launch an internet/forum vendetta against me, despite me being down the value of the parcel and the £14 it cost to post it.

I have also contacted Mercedes Benz, PayPal and Google to take additional steps and investigate how this gentleman is buying, selling

I hope you explained to the above that this is over a bumper grille and that I did not challenge your paypal chargeback and as I explained to you in our telephone conversaion afterwards I really is not worth me trying to defend a chargeback over such a small sum and with no tracking.

Nick's name will be on every Mercedes forum world wide soon. This is internet world and people should be responsible what they do protected by distance and inability to be seen

Well if the worse thing that has ever happened to you is to order something from another country, and then when requested recieved a full refund when you decide that it's taken a bit too long to land, I envy you.

Still at least you've got your new forum chums to chat to, I got tipped off about this thread earlier, and alas no longer contribute or look at the forum, so sadly won't be able hang out with you on here.
