Nokia N95 with Bluetooth cradle to the V2 (B67876125)

Thanks Paul, when are you getting the V2?

May take a few days. My car is on conttract hire, the contract hire company got the bluetooth adaptor from a dealer. They now have to arrange the replacement for me.

I got my B67876125 through the post today, have successfully managed to pair the phone with the car (w203 & Audio 20) and can make calls. However I can't seem to download the phone book, I enter 0000 and press dial and the message "no service" appears on the display of the car and phone just disconnects. Reconnects about a minute later but there is no phonebook... Am I missing something?!

Any ideas?

I have a N95 and while I can get it to pair and receive / make calls. I cannot get it to download the address book. I have tried having the address book on both SIM and Phone and combination. I get a message "system error" on the phone and it goes to the Sync Menu. It's seems as though it needs a sync profile set up. Anyone manage to get it to work??
Thanks

I need help with my Mercedes Benz Cradle adapter with Bluetooth

I need some help. I have bought a Mercedes Benz Cradle adapter with Bluetooth® wireless technology (B67875840) and i am trying to connect my N95 with it. This cradle can work either with the Sim card or with the bluetooth. I have try it with the Sim and its working fine. Now i am trying to connect it with blutooth to my phone. In order to do that first of all i must pair the devices. I know how to do that. Search the new pair device with my n95 and connect it. When i do that i need a pairing password to put in my phone. Unfortunately when they have provide me with the cradle they did not give me the specific password so i can not pair it. Can any one tell me how can i find that ? I need to pair it and i don t have the pairing CODE fore my cradle ;( can you suggest anything? Please help me ;(

Hiya
Thats a SAP cradle, and it pairs completely differently to the way you are trying

On the N95, turn on bluetooth, and remote sim access profile (SAP) if there is a menu for it.

Put the stereo on the 'phone' screen

Hold doen the star button on the SAP cradle until the blue lamp on it starts flashing faster

After 30 seconds or so, it will look like it connected on the stereo - look in the caller list, and you will find your phone, select it and press the call button.
A 16 digit (8 pairs of 2 digits) will be displayed on the audio system screen (if you only see 12, you have to delete some to see it as your screen isnt big enough)
The phone will then ask for the code, enter it, and tell it to pair

You will get a 3 bar raising tone if it worked from the car, or falling if it failed

Tell the phone to 'trust' the connection so that it can accept connections without needing a code again

To get the phonebook downloaded, when the system is all paried up, dial 0000 <dial> and wait until the phone reboots a couple of times, and you're done

I have a B67875840 (V1) adapter which I have been using with just a SIM card in. I am looking to change my main mobile phone to avoid having to have a seperate SIM for the car.

Which current (Nokia/Siemens) phones work well that I could go for? I want to avoid having to change my cradle to the V2 (B67876125) one if possible.

Thanks!

I have recently sold one of these to a chap with a 6300 and it worked fine. V1 that is.

I have the V2 cradle in my W204, A204 820 0535.
I need a phone to go with it and it appears to be something
of a minefield as to whether the thing will work or not.
As a non techie I should be grateful if anyone could advise on the
Nokia 3600Slide and V2 comptability. This phone would suit my needs.
Any other phone recommended?
Thanks for your help.

Any modern Nokia supports SAP so should work fine. The other SAP implementations (with except for a few Siemens phones) do not work

I now have the phone installed and working, more by luck than judgement if I'm honest. But a couple of problems.
The default phone is what is known as the "convenience phone" which is part ot the Audio 20 software, I think. I think this is for a phone and cradle. The problem is every time I turn on the ignition the software searches for this phone and then comes up with an error. I then have to manually connect my own phone. A pain. Can this be changed ?
Secondly downloading the phone book appears to have to be done singly using business cards. No great deal except nothing happens. The Nokia finds and connects to, the MB bluetooth, sends the card and confirms.
The MBbluetooth is set to receive business cards but does not do so. I have tried everything I can think of without success. Help!!
I'm wondering if I have paired the phone correctly and should maybe start again. But it does send and receive phone calls with no problem.
David.

Our W204 does not have the convenience phone option, the convenience phone should be the phone at the cradle or the one connected to the BT adapter in the place of the cradle. Are you sure you are connected via BT SAP, is your phone set to BT SAP instead of BT HF? Actually the phone can be set to SAP but it connects if a BT HF connection request appears.

Our Audio 20 head unit receives business cards happily from my Nokia phone. It actually supports two modes with more modern phones (I believe the 3600 slide would also support BT PbAP), you can either set the HU to receive business cards (all can be sent at once if all contacts are selected from the phone first) or if another menu appears, it allows reading the contacts via this BT phone book access profile.

I'm not sure if the convenience phone option would allow dynamic phone book reading, every time the phone is connected. The standard one does not seem to do that.

If you have two phones properly paired with the BT SAP adapter (not the HU), you should get connected to the one paired last with priority. For automatic connection you have to enable it from your phone's BT menu for each BT device you want to allow that.

I have the BT SAP adapter on the 221 but this is quite different from the 204 BT SAP and I'm a bit guessing that some basic features are the same with your convenience phone option as with our Audio 20 standard BT HF option.

Many thanks Diesel for you reply.
My phone does not have the option of BT SAP and BT HF. It does support SAP however.
I have spent a lot of time today trying to get things working. After deleting and re-installing the phone a number of times, I now have the phone working as the default. No luck with the phonebook however. Everything tells me I am connected correctly, MB-BT showing Nokia 6500 and the Nokia showing MB-BT. When I set the Audio 20 to receive business cards it shows "ready to receive", the Nokia searches for the MB-BT and when it finds it asks for confirmation to send, does so and flashes up card sent, but nothing is received at the A20. I have gone back and forth over the installation but can find nothing amiss. The telephone works fine.
Interestingly the installation instructions with the SAP V2 state that the phone book can be down-loaded in one go in the W204 and one just dials 0000 to start it. Unfortunately the page to put in 0000 is not in my software.
In the Audio 20 instruction book it states the phone book can only be downloaded via BT business cards.
I am now at a loss as to the next move. I do feel the the phone book is essential to the hands-free process. Dialling manually on the move is a no-no.
Apologies for the long post.

David

There is no software page to enter 0000. When the phone is connected you simply dial 0000, as if making a call. This should initiate the phone book transfer. The screen wil show "phone disconnected" or some such during the transfer but the connection will be re-established once the transfer is complete, which may take some time.

Eventually got everything working!!
The 0000 command would not work and used the import data command
which did the trick.
Found this all very frustrating. Could be wrong but I think a certain amount of problems were down to timing in following commands. If you don't respond quickly enough the software moves on and cancels out.
That's my excuse anyway.
Thanks for your help Guys. Much appreciated.

David

I'm surprised dialling 0000 didn't work. What error message did you get?
