Better hadn’t Andy now I’m (probably ) going!
There is still a vacancy for the Parking Officer if you are interested, otherwise it could be total mayhem with cars parked any old way

Are we still of for a blast afterwards?
I'm not sure how many would be interested in a drive out afterwards, I'm game if there are a few others who fancy it. Below is a previously suggested route for a drive out across the NY Moors, stopping at The Lion Inn (Squadron leader's favorite NY Moors pub) at Blakey ridge for a bite to eat.As I have to be back home by mid afternoon so I’ll have to leave a drive out to someone else to organise if there is support for one.
Ditto.Don't think I'll be doing the drive out Richy as Steve and I are heading in the opposite direction.
Any other suggestions are more than welcome. Shorter/longer/different route ???
No problem, I'm sure we will all be taking a tour of the museum.Apology on the drive out, I'm bringing 3 others with me and they want to see the aircraft/museum as well as your vehicle's!
Hello! I'm still hoping to come but I will need a driver Got rushed into hospital last weekend with an incarcerated hernia and it was a full cut open surgery job, I also have pneumonia, which should clear up over the next week or so.
Am asking around friends to drive me as it would be sad to miss this, I may come in the E class if comfort remains an issue for me then.
As for a drive out, this would not be exciting but keeps it short, sweet, has some leg stretching A64 and some narrow bits around Howard, and allows for coffee and maybe photo ops at Castle Howard and finishes at a very quiet starbucks.

Thanks for the tips. At the moment climbing the stairs at home is a challenge so I understand this is a long haul recovery, hoping that a ride out in the car in a couple of weeks will be ok though. Staying indoors at the moment until I finish the Doxycycline as I would like my skin not to burn off...Looks a pleasant drive out Tim!
As others, sorry to hear about what happened but sounds like you are on the recovery route now. Just a word of caution on the Pneumonia- it can take longer than you think to recover, had it a couple of years ago resultant from a gangrenous gall bladder which had to be whipped out- full recovery was near 6 months in my case, every case is different though of course- hope to see you there, excellent chaps on here with Lees E55 taxi offer up there!
