OT - Possible purchase

My Dad is looking at a 2000 Lexus RX300 - seems like a lot of quality car for not a lot of money (if pretend 4x4s are your thing). He wants a big car for pootling about in for less than £10k..

X5s seem a bit too expensive for him and MLs have a poor reputation. Suggested he test drive late 210 and early 211 estates as a comparison - but he seems pretty keen on a tall 4x4.

Any one know anything about these?

Should be (according to autotrader) bugeting 8 to 9k for a 2000 model.

Try and avoid much above or below average mileage, and get a thorough check before buying, repair can be expensive. Beware of imports.
