Pensioner gets £85,000+ payout after Porsche dealer sold ‘his’ car

Exactly, that is why cry babies on forums who whinge that a dealer won't return a deposit on a car they've changed their mind about, really get on my nipples.

Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

Please God save me from another post: well I really liked the car, put down a five hundred quid deposit, saw one cheaper elsewhere and the nasty dealer won't refund my deposit. Good. Grow up.

Sorry that has obviously been brewing. Serenity now. Serenity now. Serenity now.

Could t agree with you more.

A recent case in point was someone posting on this very forum that a relative of his had placed a deposit on a car and had then decided he didn't want it. Cue certain members advising him to smear the trader if he wouldn't give back the deposit and 'name and shame' him!

If I went back into the motor trade full time is end up getting done for murder...

In my opinion, the damages awarded does not compensate for what the car is worth now. Porsche Bolton are brilliant to deal with but this pensioner had much more to gain had the car been his.
