Picked up my W208 CLK320 Cab - photos now in gallery

It is a 03/52 Final Edition CLK320 in Jasper Blue with Blue hood and Black Leather with cream stitching and Black Alcantara inserts. It comes with COMAND, parktronic, 17" AMG Alloys, electric memory drivers seat, heated front seats, 6-CD Autochanger and a Nokia phone kit. Initial impressions after a drive from Coventry to Fife?

(a) New C/CLK/E interiors have come a long way but the W208 interior in the combination I have looks lovely
(b) Apparently, the engine and gearbox that I had in my W211 E-Class is the same one that is in the CLK320 I've just driven. I don't know what is different - whether the Final Editon had been tuned, or the E320 was much heavier or what, but the CLK320 has so much more oomph and feels much faster than the claimed 0-60 in 8.3s (maybe I just got a good one)
(c) I'd forgotten just how much FUN the CLK is to drive.

Overall, a very happy camper and that is with the roof up!!! :bannana:

Congrats, sounds like a really nice colour combo. All we need now is some photo's in the members gallery! ;)

Congratulations. Excellent choice and a potential investment being one of the last of the model. Pictures?

sounds a great car. i still miss my CLK320 cabrio on occasions!

Lovely sounding car! Gallery photos now required Urgently!! Where abouts in Fife are you?

Unfortunately, no photos will be forthcoming for a wee while. First thing I did was to drive to Edinburgh airport this morning and leave it there for a couple of days as I'm down in London on business.

Don't think it will be much of an investment opportunity in the long run, but who cares, it should be great for the 11th and 12th of June next year (for those of you not in the know, that is when Scotland's summer is forecast for next year).

As far as where in Fife I stay, in the countryside not far from Aberdour and Burntisland.

Nice looking car Brett, like the seats!

Aye, they're quite different aren't they? Nice not to go onto freezing leather in the winter before the heater has kicked in...

Beautiful Mercedes CLK320, V.nice spec, heated seats, sports seats, SAT NAV...Coooooool !

Agreed - very nice indeed - enjoy!! And make sure thathood comes down at any given opportunity - not just the summer days! A winter sunshine drive with the roof off is something else ;)

It was down yesterday - hot air on full blast, heated seats on full blast, engine, well, on full blast (at times) :)

Agreed, Alcantara is v comfortable....others have "interesting" :D views on the subject!

I had Leather & Alcantara heated seats in the TT. Best bit about Alcantara, you dont have to wait for the heated seats, it just doesnt get that cold :)
And it grips you a lot better, so when you manage to get a TT sideways you stay glued to your seat!

Jasper Blue is lovely ... and unusual for the W208
