Possible C32 & SLK32 AMG mini-meet (GTG)?

An excellent little GTG - good to see some old faces and new ones.

Bill a shame you left before I got to hear your exhaust mod - maybe next time!

Looking forward to the photos :).

Yes it was nice to see you all. Lovely SL stats, and Peter's C43 looked stunning as always :)

Thankyou to Rob (Bobby Dazzler) for organising the event and I look forward to meeting you all again soon

Will

I arrived all too late and missed you guys and ended up walking around all by myself not knowing where you lot were, my fault for arriving at 11.45am :(

However I did see the row of AMG's (aka MBCLUB) parking area so parked it there but just nobody to be seen.

I made the most of the day anyway as well as capturing some skidpan action on my camcorder, had enough after about 1.5 hours and left.

Sorry you missed us Wil, a few of us were also a bit lost when we first arrived but one of the MB World greeters showed us where the others were having coffee etc.

Hope you had fun anyway, better luck next time :)

Will

MB World meet

Thanks to Rob for organising a FANTASTIC day out. My crew had a great time - will definitely be going back to MB World - what a great show!!

Can't think of another manufacturer that will take you out to do roundabout drifting in one of their cars let alone allowing kids to drive an A Class. Superb!!

I had doubted the performance of the new 6.3 after looking at the on-paper figures, but what a motor - huge grunt. (Rob was stunned into silence behind me for a moment!!)

If you haven't been, I can highly recommend it!!

Great to put some faces to names, and a great crowd too!!

Thanks to you all, but especially Rob - again.

One brief picture to keep you entertained until the others turn up (sent from a friend of mine who only has dial up!)

Shame I missed a top day out. Worked most of the day (on-call) and had parents fitting kitchen floor !

To Bobby Dazzler ~ Even though I didn't make it sounds like everyone benefited from your persiverance and hard work. Well done sir !

Post them photo's... I wanna see what I missed !!!!

Cheers

Mark

Thanks to you all for the kind words and thanks. I for one had a great time, and I think one or two others did too!! ;)

Every meet I've been to - MB and other marques - it's easy to find each other as people stand, point, oo, ah, and kick tyres, so it's obvious who's from the club. MB World is just so big with so many visitors, and so many things to see - it was somewhat more difficult!! I suspect like herding cats for the poor tour guide!! ;) :D

Unfortuanately the signage I spoke to them about was limited to an A4 sheet on a cone. Despite speaking to the guys and the door, reception, two meeters/greeters, the meeter/greeter team leader - one or two did slip through the net, although I hope it didn't detract from the day for anyone.

Wil - Sorry we missed you. I popped out a few times to see if there were any further arrivals and I noticed you car - looked great btw. Couldn't find you though. Hopefully we'll make it easier next time. Now I've been thinking, and reckon we should get some MBClub hats made, with big downward pointing fingers attached. Should make it easier in a national lottery kind of way!! :D

I have a few pictures - albeit not quite up to the standard of the late Patrick Lichfield's finest - which I'll post when I can get them off the camera (took it out of the box just for today!!).

Thank you all once more to everyone that made today a great one. The kids were so well behaved, and the men even managed not to cause trouble, so by that measure I'll call it a success. :D

If anyone posts pics - it might be a good idea to disguise registration numbers - as demonstrated by Will!! ;)

Good luck!! I hope everything goes smoothly.

You should have said - we could have come around to give you a hand!! :D

It's always a good sign when you fall into conversation about cars and while away the hours over coffee with the sound of thunder (aka 55s & 63s) in the background!

I know a couple of other meets are planned there with other forums / clubs so if you missed out there'll be another opportunity again soon.

Thanks again Rob :).
