That's the plan Andy.

The folks meeting at Tamworth Services will then head on to Oxford Services, to meet up with the others. There should be enough time to grab a coffee at Oxford too. Will then all head down to MB World.

If anyone is running late or if unable to find the others at either meeting point, carry on to the next meeting point or MB World itself - whichever is the next stop on the route.

I have now received a response from MB World!! I emailed someone senior in the local dealer group who escalated it through DCUK at the national sales meeting today. Got an email almost instantly as a result!!

Please firstly may I apologise for the miscomunication with regards to your event taking place on Sunday 14th January - I am sorry if this has caused you any inconvenience.

However, I am pleased to confirm that we are able to accommodate your requirements. I have noted that you require a guided tour of the facilities. I suggest that this is done in groups of 8 due to the size of the attractions that we offer. This is a cost of £7+Vat per person and lasts for approximately one hour. I note that there will be between 10 & 20 cars on display. How many guests will be attending?

For a place to gather you can either use the cafe depending of the number of guests attending or we could corner off an area on the ground floor (I suggest the ground floor brand gallery) where we can set up and tea and
coffee station throughout the day. This is a charge of £1.50+Vat per person per serving. How long do you anticipate the event running for?

With regards to an area in the car park, I am sure that this will be fine but just need to confirm a suitable area for this. I shall advise you tomorrow morning.

I have asked them to keep the inside space on standby, so we can gather inside if weather is miserable. Tea/coffee at £1.50 a serving sounds reasonable to me.

I expected a small charge for the tour albeit I had hoped it would be free (i like free stuff!! ) - although it sounds comprehensive and I'm up for it - may mean we get access to extra stuff??!!

It would be really good to have a show of hands if you're likely to take up the offer of the tour and tea/coffee, so I can give them a rough indication of whether it's worth them putting something on for us. Your views appreciated.

I will have a tour and some refreshments.
I think it is a little cheeky to charge for the tea/coffee etc when my local dealer offers free tea/coffee/coca cola/fanta and snacks etc. however I suppose I will pay it if no alternative is available.
I ain't going all that way not to get something out of the day, so I think a guided tour would be cool.

I'm not entirely sure a tour is necessary - remember it's really just a very large dealership.

They do give you free tea / coffee if you're a 'customer' but the majority of people go to wander around and look at the cars - track events etc and you wouldn't expect free refreshments in a museum would you?
