Post your dyno results here!

Not heard from Thorney Motorsport, so I'll follow-up with them tomorrow if I have half a chance.

I'm still blown away by your whp figures. 280-290 that is a lot! Scared me away from coming to a dyno session with you boys! Sadly I haven't done any mods to warrant a visit (stroke of luck!).

It's the torque curve that makes mine feel quick.........

Wheel figures. With losses through quattro call it ~320BHP for comparison.

It surprised me too - especially given andy_cyp's figures, which I would have expected to be higher than mine by some margin.

I'm not to precious about it - I did it as a bit of fun, and to see if it's running like it should. If that figure is verified by a run on another dyno, then I'll have more confidence in the figures.

Whenever I read threads elsewhere it looks like some cars seem to perform better on some days than others, with variations between dynos too. That's part of the reason for getting together with Andy, as we can compare apples with apples.

Would be good to put the cat amongst the pigeons - well Audi amongst the MBs if you fancy it!! ;)

2 same cars dynoed on the same time would be a great comparisson, since we both used different dynoes the results vary by a far margin, 296rwhp vs 288rwhp.

I have been informed that the best way to dyno our cars bobby is to disable esp and use 3rd gear to floor it.
headlamps/and aircon deffinatly off mate.

If those guys dont reply then we could take a trip to tewksbury at powerstation, ony a trek down the road for us.

Ill leave it up to you.

Getting them on the same rollers, one after another would be a good idea - especially if could convince some of our fellow 32 owners to come along.

I disabled ESP by putting the car in dyno mode through the computer - not just hitting the ESP switch. Getting it to stay in kick down is a bit of a PITA.

For some reason they ran all cars with the headlamps on - not sure why - must be a reason for it though - didn't have an opportunity to ask though.

I contacted PowerStation last year - but they said they won't do power runs for autos - as they were my first thought. I'll see what Thorney says as it does seem like a great setup, and may allow more people to attend because of the central location.

Will keep you posted. ;)

Thorney Motorsport are a top Vauxhall tuning specialist they have only recently come on seen about a couple of years ago and are par with Courtenay Sport (another Vxl tuner) in the tuning world. I highly recommend their RR setup, it is extremely accurate and they receive many thumbs up report from numerous online Vxl forums (I'm a Vectra Turbo owner myself).

Regarding the wheel output from the 32 I recently got 278bhp @ wheels at AMD Technic in Bicester (Audi / Vxl tuning Specialist). It seems like any figure from around 280-300bhp (wheel) is about right for a standard engine, allowing for errors obviously.

On Merc Auto's you have to run it in 3rd gear and floor the accelerator (without hitting the kickdown switch) from 2500rpm upwards and it will stay in the same gear all the way upto the redline. That's how AMD did mine and it worked everytime, 4th gear would be more ideal and accurate but as we all know the ECU will not allow it to hold in that gear at full throttle.

I heard on Saturday that AMD went bump - and the name and technology has been bought by Big Boys Toys (or similar) - but their pad in Bicester and AMD as we knew it is no more.

Hang on I'll check their website...

...appears that BBT have bought them out although it suggests it's business as usual.

I thought AMD had stopped doing Vauxhall's a while back - not longer after - Thorney left?

From what I've read and heard - I think Thorney's place will be ideal - if they can do autos.

Are you up for a dyno gtg Wil?

PS Have you modified the Vectra then?

Was'nt aware of the AMD news, surprise news to me being such a successful tuning organisation.

RR gtg would be nice, I'm on holiday from mid April onwards so anytime before that would suit me nicely.

I own a Vectra B turbocharged by Courtenay Sport, I'd decided to sell it this week so anyone fancies a weekend runarond take a look at my ad. :)
