Project Sl60 Silver Arrow Update

One thing to say. My word these r129 are built well.

Carpets have been swapped not a spot of rust anywhere everything under carpet looks new.

Here are some photos. It is starting to come together. Once i have the silver arrow chrome speedo and the new steering wheel (trouble with wheel cant find airbag for the r129 wheel its a 2001 slk airbag apparently).

Also need to tidy up the center console and add the chrome trims all around.

For my taste it really suits a sl60 more than the grandad interior that was in there before, no offense to grandads. (prob on grandads who could of afforded one new anyways)

No,that's the one he's got.I take he needs one for the Silver Arrow steering wheel

The leather one was only used in the silver arrow. Until I bought my car I didn't even know they ever made a leather one. Even the Designo SL editions didnt have a leather airbag.

But that interior is coming together very well.

The only one I could find comes with steering wheel and passenger airbag for £150
I'll pm you the link later and see if he sells the airbag alone

Lol, Im 32. The carpets in the garage for a reason, its terrible.

I have a list as long as my army so far for upgrades to the car.
factory Bose setup,
xenons,
factory amg exhaust muffler.
etc.
This could take me a whilst.
Plus i've put it all backtogether and the rear view mirror is flashing red and green and it wont turn over now. Prob ive goosed the immobiliser wiring as now the key fob dont work when i point to car.
