Redex Fuel Additive

My cars mpg has improved by approx 20 percent, all because the weather is warmer:)

Nothing done since winter.

I'm sure there's a thread on here from years ago where a member who was a taxi driver swore that adding a litre of ATF to his petrol tank periodically & to his engine oil just before an oil change kept his car in rude health.

IIRC his car & those of his taxi driver mates had very high mileages & were all still going strong. Something to do with ATF being full of detergents.

Where can you get Millers' or Forte' cheaply?

I buy my Millers' bottle from Halfords (about £12 a bottle of 500ml) in London because I cannot find anywhere else cheaper and Forte does not appear to exist in London :(

You can buy millers in a 5ltr container. I can't remember the exact price, but it does work out a lot cheaper than the 500ml bottles.

IIRC you need to be in the motor trade or similar to buy the 5ltr containers and I think the minimum quantity you can buy is 4 X 5ltr.

Johnsco is getting some 5ltr containers from Millers at Bradford, West Yorkshire, but they do have depots in other parts of the UK.

5L container is too much - I only get through 4 or 5 500ml bottles (2.2L) a year and I just don't have the storage space (central London flat)

My search continues ...

Forte is considered to be a "trade only" product, but several members have managed to get the product from ebay and certain dealers.
