Hi after the gearbox service disaster with the dealership in temple fortune, I told my story here and got really helpful feedback. After many recommendations by a lot of people here, I have just booked in with Terry at Waynegates for a full gearbox service next week. I will give back feedback regarding the service after next week.

Now to the real point of this thread, I am planning to do my first service with my car this week, I want to find out whats the best way to do oil change on my car (drain or suction) plus any recommended oil drainer pumps manual/air or electric ones.

Also as its my first time with this car Im not exactly sure where the filters are located, any guides?

So the filters that I have to change are Oil, Fuel, Air and Cabin filters right?

I did the service on my previous car myself (VW passat) which was quite straight forward to do. Obviously this is a totally different car with everything located in different sections. Do I need to change any other things?

I am planning to do full service myself every 7-8k miles.

Many thanks.

Remove the top engine cowling and look to see if you car is equipped with the resonator built into the metal boost pipe.
If it is then replacing the fuel filter is a whole different ball game.

Look forward to meeting you

Terry
