Rubber seal strip thing - whats it called/where to find it

So, my C126 has this removable rubber molded seal-strip type thing.

It clips to the plastic front vent tray/scuttle area thing, and the seal edge pressed against the bottom of the windshield glass. I assume its designed to stop dirt and stuff from running down the windshield and making its way to the metal front structure, and instead diverts it to the plastic vent liner panel and the drain holes eventually.

It only runs the bottom of the windshield, and is just push-fit. It's U-profile groove presses onto the plastic vent tray and that's how it stays put. It touches the windshield with just pressure only.

Does anybody have a clue what the hell I am talking about?

And if yes, does anybody happen to know where I can find one, or happen to know a Mercedes part number for it at least or something so I can see if anybody stocks them?

Thanks!

Go to a MB dealer parts dept armed with vin no,they will look it up for you, give you a price,
advise availability etc, then you can order or shop around.

I tried that. They didn't have a clue what I was talking about, and tried to sell me a scuttle panel liner tray instead.

Nobody else I tried even knew what I was talking about either.

Does anybody happen to have a link to a parts catalog or something?

Its no longer available im afraid... I went through this and I got the last couple they had in stock in Germany for my cars.

Part Number A1268312398

My Suggestion would be to find some thin but strong rubber hose, make a slit down it and feed it over... not perfect but would do the same job..

Have you tried Woolies Trim? They sell lots of different types of rubber seals.
