Thanks Olivier, if anything does get off the ground with a class action and it's open to W202 C class owners aswell as E class (I imagine there may also be a few W208 clk owners wanting to join the party...) then I'm in.

DO we need to set up a website for a class action suit?

I think all the owners are fragmented over differing forums. We need ONE website where all owners can meet and discuss an action.

What do you guys think?

I personally wouldn't buy another Mercedes, and since I influence higher management at my work place we have decided that none of us would be picking Mercedes from our company car lists, opting instead for Audis.

Vote with your feet, and if class action is the way forward we all need to speak with ONE voice.

I decided that Mercedes would probably make life difficult and that although personally I would have fought them in the court it was not fair or sensible (although I think I had all the right evidence and information to win) to potentially waste my money and compromise my families happiness. So we had a brilliant Holiday instead and I shall be voting with my feet and probably buying a new Skoda Superb Elegance Estate. In addition I will keep the Mercedes, it’s just gone through its MOT (no new sub frame this year!) its rusting like a good un’ every door panel is rusted along with sections of the roof – brilliant real life advert for Mercedes!

I’ll probably put some copies of correspondence with Mercedes UK and updated photographs on my web site and generally humour the situation – they say no publicity is bad!

Can't say I'm surprised. As a fairly new owner, of an old model, I have been really disappointed with the service provided to current owners. This seems
to be a MB UK fault. I have had no problem with my contact with MB Europe.

It seems that they are only interested in selling new cars and have no interest at all in their existing customers.

There is no way that I would buy a new car from them
