Rust round remote locking unit

My 1996 W124 has bubbling paint round the factory fitted, remote central locking unit mounted near the boot catch - anyone shared a similar problem or found a sensible solution - say a good bodywork fixer in reach of west London?

I also found a good bodyshop in Tolworth....little one man band whose been running his business for 20 years and doesn't mind a bit of cash work.

He showed me his gallery of cars he worked on, many of them being classic cars - including the odd RR!

He did some work on a friends Alfa and I was very impressed with the results.
