S/W 211 7sp Oil replacement

Went in to my local Auto Gearbox specialist last week for a price on changing the oil in my S211.

They, like Merc dealers only change the gearbox oil and not the T/C unit due to the non-existent drain plug!

Obviously I'd like a proper job doing as per Ollies (Black CLK's) 'How To' link.


Can anyone recomend an Indy in Cheshire who can perform to Ollies exacting standards??

Have you tried MBTECH in warrington?

Hi Mobey,

Not tried them yet but I do know they exist as they've been mentioned on here a few times.

Was asking here first incase anyone actually had prior experience of someone local who'd do it as per Ollies How To.

It might wind a Garage up the wrong way if I was to ring up and start intergoating them as to how they did it or send em a email link to the 'How To' section infering their way is incorrect or half a job!

I would give them a shout! They did mine, very knowledgable and good at what they do.

I don't blame you for asking questions! I don't think people can be say blasé around the modern mb anymore.... As good as the v6 cdi is, the car needs tlc... And it needs to be looked after.

They just don't make them like they used to((

Yes) but no, afaik the TC was not drained, just the oil in the sump and this is something that I do want to do but at the time just had the oil changed and will probably look to have the lot dropped at some point...
