Hi Folks.
Having just replaced the air pump for the rear suspension on my '53 plate S211 (E320 cdi) I'm now having bother with the ABS & ESP lights being on. It's stating 2 malfunctions - ABS & ESP fault - Visit workshop.
Drives fine, but SBC H and SBC S don't work. Neither does cruise control but speed limiter does.
I've had the codes read at my local indy and it's pointing to the rear right wheel. We can't get any more specific than no speed sensor info.
The decision to be made is: Do we start by replacing the ABS reluctor ring, or the speed sensor on the wheel. The sensor is jammed on so can't pull it off to try one from the other side. Once we remove it it's going to snap.
Any suggestions?
The reluctor ring replacement parts can be bought for under 50 quid, but several hours labour to put on.
Anyone anytips before I go replacing parts that don't need replacing?
All input gratefully received!
Cheers.
Tim
