Well seen this, in one of my favourite colour's, Not a 7 seater but thinking if they are easy enough to convert?

And..... How reliable is that 6.2? heard alot about headbolts etc being one of the main faults.

Im not 100% serious as Brutus is still mine, but this is certainly the sort of thing that would tempt me later. Ps i know Brutus would eat it performance wise lol, but i dont really drive that hard. A 5.5 is a stretch to far at the minute.

Unless MB changed the colour mix for the 212, that's not Indium Grey; my previous 211 was Indium Grey, and quite different. I rather like that bronze colour, though; goes well with the light interior. In my opinion, the pre-facelift 212 is a much better-looking car than the facelift, particularly at the front.

I see that the three-year aftermarket warranty is compulsory, so the dealer is making a little extra on the sale.

I've not heard anything other than head bolts on those engines, Gav.

It's funny, I would be happy with that NA 6.2 these days.

I think the 211 interior is much nicer, that looks bland.

I prefer the facelfted 212 personally and the interior is so much nicer than a 211, if a little bland. Moving on to the 213 is another step up IMO.

Regarding the 6.2 engine, worn cam buckets can occur too, but we hear so little about that it must be very uncommon.
I'd love a 6.2 for that exhaust note (only in a C63 though) but would save some more cash for the facelfted 5.5 Biturbo.

Out taste's go in opposite directions on interiors, I prefer the interior of the 420Se I used to have to the 211 ....horses for courses.

I like the man maths creeping into this thread.

I like that & it is cracking against a 5 year older S211 at not that much less. I thought the reason there was no 7 seat S212 E63's as the exhausts reduced the rear floor depth. You can get anything other than an E63 212 in a 7 seat I think.

If I sell the XC90 as planned this year & replace the wife's Freelander2 with a Disco Sport I won't need a 7 seated. One of these would fit the bill nicely.

Nice job that. Good to know. Thanks.

Looks like the colour of my 2011 W212 E350CDI which was in Indium Grey. Had a quite pronounced bronze tint to it.

MB must have changed the colour mix; my 2008 W211 was quite a bit lighter, and with a tinge of green rather than brown.
