Hi Folks

As you may have seen before i have been trying to sell my E Class, does anyone know or is a car buyer who might be interested in my car ?

I am wanting to sell because i am getting a company car and need to get rid of this one.

Could you not ask a Mercedes dealer to do a 'sale or return'?

BMW used to do this - you basically give them the car and agree on a price / their cut, and they then sell the car as if it was one of theirs...?

In anycase, and being devil's advocate here, when I last looked at your car (as I was surprised it hadn't sold), I then looked at similar motors from the Mercedes website. Yours was right in the middle of the pricing.

I wouldn't bother with yours if I could buy the same car at the same price from a main dealer.

Given that not everyone has that much cash to hand over, and you cannot offer the same dealer facilities (trade-in / finance etc.), I suspect you will need to price yours more attractively accordingly.

I would have a look at the Mercedes Used Cars and see how yours slots in now with spec/mileage vs. asking price.

Also - whoever sorts your company cars out if they have any contacts. I'm looking at leasing a car at present and the chap at the lease company has given my car details to a couple of traders. One (subject to sight) has offered £1000 more than webuyanycar.com quoted me.

From my experience in the last 2-3 weeks Mercedes and BMW dealers are offering same as WBAC regardless of what its against.

Expect low offers from internet sites that buy for cash - and make sure any description for the £ valuation is exact as they will knock price for even the smallest scratch if they can find it on inspection.
