Tried this last week and despite typical Manchester weather for a week my car is still shiny and clean. If you are lazy like me I can recommend this. I know these other products that you put on yourself will produce better results but I think the Shell drive-through is pretty good.

I use the local Eastern European hand wash at £7.00. They do a damn good job and I get to keep my baby bottom smooth hands, baby bottom smooth;)

Wash it yourself and do it properly using the 2 bucket method, to save on adding more scratches and swirls.

I get a bunch of v-power club points if I use the Shell wash but I've never tried it. Now I've heard a good review I might whizz the car through and see how it looks :)

I was going to suggest that. Yesterday when I cleaned the car I cleaned the wheels with Very Cherry wheel cleaner, washed with the 2BM using a wash mit and not a sponge, dried with some Migalore Quick detailer as a drying aid, sealed the wheels with some Migalore Wheel Sealant and waxed the car with Collinite 915. It took me around an hour and a half tops.
I was going to clay and machine polish it then but I didn't like the look of the weather, I'd imagine that would have taken an extra 2 and a half hours.
I'm of the belief that if I wash my car like this every so often I just need to keep on top of it for it to look smart.

PS I'm pretty lazy too :o

Ignoring the car wash - check out the fuel prices!

Can hardly remember it now - but it shows diesel at 145.9p and unleaded at 139.9p!

Ouch. Mind you, we've been told to expect rises on fuel again soon (VAT back up etc).

Oh well.

I get the wife to wash my car, because I drive her around in it and she does'nt like to be seen in a dirty car!!!

I always wash it myself like to feel the body also keeps me intouch with the condition, tyre, you no the stuff you are suposed to check. Taken my wifes car down the polski wash though one in Mendlesham suffork done an excellent and only cost a couple of sloties, their are two here in Northampton and I have tried them both ( I usually wash mine and take the wife to the wash, I'm good like that) anyways they are a rip of, do a bad job, had a coat nicked. Out the boot and been short changed twice, only go there now when I want a bad job done and my inteligence to be insulted, book in for tomorrow
