10K cheaper under 54,000 miles with FMBSH...
I followed a 230E covered in **********.com logos this morning! I reckon it was the man himself, only up the road from where he's based! ;)

Thanks Shude for spotting one of "THE FLEET", glad to hear that signwriting works! There are many w123/ 124's & 201's with logos on them driven around the UK by clients. Keep 'em peeled!

Always on the lookout .... yet to see one though :(

Other than mine every morning :bannana: mmmmmm silver stickers ......

Have you ever dealt with them? There are too many fence-sitters on this forum. That red SL60 has been up for sale for at least 2 years.

Anyway, back on topic, the silver SL60 on eBay looks like it was bought from eBay a year ago:

I'm no SL expert but the interiors changed a lot in '96. There may be other changes too plus some you can't see like wiring looms that don't self destruct.

Hahahahahaha, oh yes they've changed a lot...the second picture looks almost like an ML, oh wait...it is! :p

Over the years there were so many changes, 4 different types of rear lamps, different repeator lamps, body mouldings, glass, roofs (hardtop and softop) loads of interior changes, Even the front grille changed! Just too many to list without an hour or so spare...

Agreed, the SL60 is a different animal to the 500, even if it is a silver arrows.

That picture I linked to changes all the time.. It was a Vauxhall Cavalier a while ago. I'd hoped no one would notice!

Gold coloured prefacelift w124 saloon IIRC.

Registration number G544 RRN lives in Huddersfield, it is Smoke Silver Metallic, driven well hopefully, with impeccable road manners.
:)

Re why is it a V8 not a V12 etc

The engine was developed as a 'race tuned ' unit by AMG when they did not have such a close relationship as now with Mercedes . It was actually more powerful than the Mercedes V12 unit in the SL600 but thye couldn't claim it because even at that stage they had a relationship with them , albeit not the one they have now

They made 300 in total and depending on where you read 48 or 49 of them were made in right hand drive

I bought one from the specialist Charles Ironside just over a year ago with 49,200 miles on it , it is an absolutely awesome car to drive

For a car that was registered in 1995 it is really driveable and docile ... until you floor the throttle when it is extremely satisfying !!

Only trouble is I feel like I have a duty to care for it and not to put loads of mileage on it and look after it so I have only done 26o miles in it in just over 12 months

:d ...

That, I think, is over egging the duty of care.....the car needs a life even if you don't !!!***??? It will be better for the using.
