So, AMG owners, how’s your Fuel Consumption?

The best I have ever managed with an M156 is 26.x MPG on a very long motorway journey with cruise contrail set to no more than 60 mph, and long sections of road works. Usually 19-21 mpg on a normal long distance motorway drive.
Yes, that sounds about right to me. The highest I've had is just over 24mpg fully loaded London - Preston at around 70mph with cruise on. I do find on the motorway driving in S instead of C seems to marginally help the car's mpg.

Don’t ask me how but iv managed
38.6 MPG on a 34 mile trip in the C63 only once and got the wife to take a photo of it

But usually on motorways I can average 31-33

Which year is the car? I cannot even do that with a C43...

You have to remember not every trip computer is accurate. and 30+ mpg sounds quite optimistic imho. My CLS55 under reads slightly but repeatably so on a long quick motorway run at or slightly over the speed limit it will do around 26 mpg. Mixed journeys that are free flowing usually averages out around 21. These figures are about 3 mpg lower than my previous 5.0 L non-supercharged clk500 that was 2-300 Kg lighter, so not too bad imho. My old C270 CDI only did ~35 mpg, so about 33 mpg in petrol terms... not a big trade off to go full mental AMG really!

Lat time I checked the S65 was showing 13mpg and the S63 was showing 17mpg 😁. It is noticeable that the S65 is more thirsty but then again no one is surprised about that.
Most of the journeys are London driving as in the motorway the S65 goes up to 22 - 23mpg and the S63 high 20's

I saw the beast up for grabs 🙂

C63 2016

That freakish MPG has only ever been once on motorways it usually averages 31-33 I had the start and stop on so the car “glides” a lot…must of had a lot of downhill on the motorway 😂

I would like to make room for another V8 M3 and one of the S classes has to go. As much as I love the V12, I prefer the looks of my S63 a bit more.
It looks like it’s not going anywhere as all I’ve had is phone calls but no one has turned up to view the car. A lot of time wasters. Also, I won’t be giving the car away. It’s a lot of car for very little money and I’m not going to sell it for much less than the asking price if someone did come to see it.
It’s ok, two AMG’s and a V8 M3 would be a better mini car collection so I’ll just have to wait a bit longer and buy the M3 too 😆

Nothing wrong having a mini collection, although storage and upkeep can be a bit of a challenge 🙂

E63 w213 foot down properly 8mpg, most of the time 18mpg on backroads 22mpg motorway. I did on a motorway run of almost 300miles get 24.7mpg, that's mostly down to cruise control with the set distance thing, by all accounts the car dosnt put the pedal down as much as me.

I managed an incredible 64.9 MPG driving normally over the course of a 30 mile journey today. It must have been more than 70 MPg at some point, because it was at 64.9 MPG after crawling in heavy traffic for quite some time.

That’ll be the Dacia, I mean the Mercedes-AMG ForFour AMG Sport Plus Black Series Night Edition Premium Plus 125 Navi facelift powered by Brabus.

580 mile round trip to Heathrow and back, 95% motorway, 25.5 mpg at average speed of 59 mph (consisting of everything from snarl ups to high speed stints where quiet (in the north) - if I was sat at 59 mph all the way I'd guess low 30s might be possible). But even so I think nearly 26 mpg is rather good all things considered :). It's in the town where it disgraces itself, badly

17 plate c63s - long run economy of 22.6mpg. on motorway it's usually 25-27 but I haven't done a long motorway run so far to see if it'd climb higher. I am sensing with warmer days coming up, this number will be going down and very quick :D
