Nice work Paul, maybe you can help? I have just purchased a DAS06 and am planning to use meguires 105 and 205 on a VW golf. Can you give me any tips on detailing for the first time.

Thanks Dan

or should that be "Polishers at Dawn"

However I doubt it will occur, duels are for gentlemen, and a gentleman never tells:rolleyes:

This one will be a good ole nails and hairpulling catfight:D

can we all just be friends considering the current economic/world climate?

Trust me you two, your making yourselves look extremely unprofessional. If you have your differences keep them to yourselves. The worst you can do is start an argument telling a few 'truths' on one of the uk's biggest car forums. It will be a big mistake in the long run.

I think it also bring the forum membership into a little disrepute too. Lets put it this way. I would'nt have one or the other to work on my cars now. Detailed's hand of moderation above brings it back a little.

Thanks Detailed.

Someone is making a charge of DWI - Detailing While Intoxicated. :dk:

Taking a similar line inspired by Arnie's film, Raw deal, "You should not drink and polish" :thumb:

I totally agree, I was just happy posting my work as does Adam on here, he was the 1 that started all this by posting on my thread.

I stay off of his threads and just let him get on with things.

I would like to apologies If I've come across as a tit, but just don't like people making sarcastic comments on my threads.

Why are there so many more car cleaners posting these day? I thought Elite Detailing was the one an only official forum member allowed to post such threads. I remember a forum member being banned for such posts in the past.

Is this something the Moderators can comment on?

It's an MB Club thread really, albeit you were the OP on a public forum. You might not like it, but that's life. Compared to some forums the posters here are relatively well behaved...

You could flip em out, give 'em a quick polish and see whose is the biggest .

The only people who get something out of a public spat are the spectators - I'd let silence be golden :thumb:.

From what I can gather Adam is the one that starts cleaning/detailing threads for the benefit of other forum members, whereas others use it as unofficial advertising.

I've got almost no interest whatsoever in seeing a Bentley on this forum unless there is a bit of a story to it and I've noticed that certain valeters have been posting other marques for a while. Which is an advert in all but name to me, but I've held off saying anything so as not to rock the boat.

Agreed.

Currently there are no authorised detailers working with MBClub. Anyone posting here without direct consent from the any of the staff should ideally be banned.

I have sent a few pm's this week to a moderator with regards sponsorship for the detailing section, with no response as yet, but after this I'd rather put my money/help/advise where its appreciated!!! Elsewhere. :thumb:

Quoting oneself could be the first sign of madness....

What is the point of posting 'detailing' threads if it's just to showcase what someone's done? And doesn't tell you how it is done?

If you go on to the rest of the forum, if someone changes an EGR valve for example, they'll tell you how they did it and sometimes with pictures. Besides most of Adams threads, that's all I really see on the detailing section, even I posted up a few tips on how i got my results when I removed a scratch from my father-in-laws car and also with the grubby Audi seats. After all, this is the whole point of the forum isn't it? To help each other and give tips etc??

Yes you're mad .......:D

Totally agree, in fact I posted the same a while back when another detailer thought this an ideal forum for free advertising.

Offer help, advice and put a bit back, then feel free to reap the benefit of some "unofficial" advertising. Blatant advertising then go elsewhere.... and take your toys with you:)

And if you want a spat, then grow up and act like adults:rolleyes:
