Old folk like me will have enjoyed H Rider Haggard's novel "She" and had no trouble with the acronym. The phrase possibly became more popular in the late seventies when regularly used by the main character played by Leo McKern in the "Rumpole of the Bailey" TV series.

Or indeed those who saw the movie starring Ursula Andress in the title role , along with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing as the mortals who stumble into her realm .

Had to be a Hammer House of Horror with that cast .
