Terminal Velocity Part Deux

Anyone got a contact number for Benjy, sent him a PM via here but not replied yet.

Could someone let him know he has a message via that bookface thing?

And I'll post a vid later :) it uploaded over night but failed.

Chris and Craig, that doesn't look like a 24BHP difference, is the C much more aerodynamic or is the power delivery from the different tunes coming into play?

The M156 is the best amg engine ever produced hence the cls gets annihilated.

Chris's car weighs more, he weighs more and he had SteMax as a passenger :dk:

In all seriousness, my car performed a lot better than even I expected and seems faster than the said power quoted on the dyno IMO.

The M156 is the worst AMG engine ever produced hence why the Germans stopped production :p

Annihilated?

He crossed the line 8mph faster with a car that has over 50bhp more and 500kg lighter.

10yr old daily work horse vs 3yr old new technology.

Craig's runs were 193mph, 190mph, 194mph & 187mph = average 191mph
His 187mph was with a passenger

Mine were 186mph, 185mph, 186mph, 184mph, 185mph, 183mph, 184mph, 185mph, 186mph = average 185mph
My last 2 runs of 185mph & 186mph were with a passenger so no difference to my car whether loaded or not.

In reality, for my car it comes down to intake temperatures and on the day mine were way to high peaking at 80c. Not an excuse, as I ran consistent speeds all day, but something I need to rectify before the next meet.

We had the balls to run our daily cars...........not everyone did

Cls55 weighs approx 1920kg, C63 approx 1720kg are you confusing the additional 300kg with your own body weight?

Craig car runs approx 740bhp, yours 715 now go do the maths it's not 50. LOL

740bhp consistently, and with Holly in the car I backed off before the line ;-)

Ok smart ****

Me = 120kg Steve = 110kg = 230kg - Craig's 100kg = 130kg straight off.
My car weighed in at 2050kg (all extra mods incl. ice tank etc) so....

You do the maths :thumb:
Little difficult for you? Ok

CLS 2050kg + 230kg (Me & Steve) = 2280kg
C 1720kg + 100kg (Craig) = 1820kg

460kg difference? :dk: Put some new batteries in your abacus Don ;)

Now to power:

Mine was running 696bhp on last dyno but with 100ron it's around 712bhp
Craig's was 764bhp on the same dyno.
Abacus says 764 - 712 = 52bhp

That's a lot of kg's.

Wow looks like I started an argument. It was just an observation. I think the weight difference between the two cars does seem to be the culprit.

I am not calling anybody fat by the way.
