The bad new is....

I don't get these Merc vs Beemer vs Audi disagreements.

Sure, I have a preference, but I can't bring myself to squabble about it :dk:.

Without wishing to, or even dreaming of having a pi55ing contest......my ML had more creaks and rattles from the trim than almost any car I have owned, and to balance that statement my CLS was nigh on perfect in the trim department, silent and well screwed together (well apart from the glove box lid which was always in need of constant tweaking), the A6 I recently bought had so far been fautless inside (and outside thankfully) with the trim being IMO the best screwed together and solid feeling IME.

And don't decry this a knocking as I never wanted to buy the Audi, it was the wifes major choice.......I just drive it ;) but frankly its an extremely impressive car.

Bloody boring styling outside though...same old same old when it comes to Audi, but hey I am on the inside looking out :D

so if you so happy with your Audi join their club and tell them how happy you are with it , but never compare it with a mercedes in a mercedes owners club !:D

I bet your are wishing to get a mercedes again !!! ;)

Mercedes-Benz vehicles have long been known the world over for their superb manufacturing quality, safety and ride characteristics. Consequently, the vehicles are regularly used as a mark by which many other luxury vehicles are judged.

I will say no more lol

I am going to take a good look at the GLK when it becomes available here soon, but advance reviews have not been rosy regarding the ride.....I do hope they don't bo11ock it up for the UK as well.

Our priority nowadays is comfort and ease of ingress/egress.......we smile at the racy chaps as we drive by when they are being given a word of advice by our brave boys in blue......no not Smurfs! :D

Come to think of it, when was the last time you saw that happening? :wallbash:

glk are very popular here in France also in Portugal ,quite like them and also they also come with proper mercedes engines unlike the gla !!

That is because they have no class they are happy with mid range vehicles.

Explain
Reality is Mercedes is a better Marque than Audi. Now that is a correct statement.

Dealing with the second statement first:That is your opinion and, as it happens, I am not totally in disagreement with you. MB is a very good vehicle manufacturer and - in many areas, but not all, I would say that it bests Audi. Their drivetrain and ancillary engineering is very good; however, MB is (in my opinion) losing the plot somewhat in both interior and exterior styling, which is starting to look garish (on the outside) and clumsy (on the inside). I am not convinced by their infotainment systems, either, in which area both Audi and BMW are leaving them way behind.

Your first statement, however, was just deeply misplaced pomposity.

wow!! Have you looked at a new s ,e or c class lately??

Exactly! I am glad you are in accord with me. The E looks bloody awful on the outside and dreary on the inside (all clashing angles and hard, edgy materials - and what is that nav screen doing in a shoe box on the dash?) and the C Class iPad is nothing short of a catastrophe.

S Class still looking good on the outside, but the dashboard again....

I don't agree with you a single bit !!
I find them very modern and classy!!

Ok
I agree about the infotainment system, I am not a fan of it either. As for pomposity I can inform you I don't think I am better than anyone. I am just an ordinary working bloke. If you look earlier in the thread, all I said was what you are now saying (a matter of opinion) I would not go to an Audi forum and discredit Audi.

I must agree with this post a lot because I thanked it, liked it and if I could have done then I'd have plusoned it!!
