O99 I think for the AMG differential, not sure if this is standard on them all.

I believe it was an option with the 030 Performance package.
It was a factory Salisbury diff, not a Quaife or Wavetrac.

The standard LSD is not great. I plan for a Quaife when I can get 5 to fit it.

Nice one, looking forward to part 2, slight scaring off the idea of buying one but Iv wanted one that long it’s gonna take a bit more than that when you say certain stuff is expensive are you meaning it’s expensive parts wise or it’s an expensive fix using a garage paying a labour charge aswell as parts expensive?

They are getting on a bit so stuff is going wrong a bit more. EG the fuel filter is £1300 (comes with pumps) Parts are expensive if its AMG specific. Get it inspected before you buy is my best advice.

yeah an inspection would be the best way to go, iv done a fair bit on normal w211's so suspension stuff, brakes and some engine and gearbox stuff i have done, obviously AMG stuff will be different and as you said with age stuff will go wrong. mine won't be a daily driven car it will mostly be a weekend toy or if i fancy a blast sort of job, so i hope not to put too many unnecessary miles on the car i eventually go for but I'm not overly bothered about it being low mileage as you'll know yourself if the car has miles and service history its more than likely had more work done which is less for me to tackle
