Theoretical Speeding Question

Many moons ago we tested my old mans new at the time W126, we managed to go for 12 seconds at 100 mph without touching the steering wheel, speed and smoothness is very deceptive in these big mercs :)

Points stick with you for 4 years and affect insurance... although his insurance company didnt seem too bothered by 6 points and said it may affect the premium next year but not this year.
Doesn't having had a ban (suspension) affect insurance even more though?

Also Dave has to be super careful, how easy is it to get 3 points from a speed camera in an area you havent visited before...
A cheap gps/satnav with a speed camera database would probably be a good idea then. At least Dave would be warned about fixed cameras, some also have known mobile camera sites too.

Yes Dave has Becker's in most of his cars so they dont warn for speed camera's but yes he will have to take his tomtom anywhere unfamiliar...

Yes good sorted W126's are just amazingly smooth... especially when they still have the standard 15" wheels on...

Thats why we love em!

Dave would be better with a Road Angel or Talex which give the location of possible mobile cameras as well as fixed. My TamTam doesn't do that.

Dave would do better if he kept his foot off the gas.

Dave likes to be behind the wheel! Cannot stand anyone else driving if he is in the car.
