Think I am about to order a C63

As the title says i am about to order a c63 amg. Going for the saloon version.

Planning on the following spec:

Black
19" rims
Harmon kardon
6 disc changer

Not sure, do i need the lsd?

Depends how you drive. If you like to opposite lock round roundabouts or exiting junctions then yes. Useful for tracking too.
Don't know if you listen to the radio but if you do and it's not standard (I believe it is on the coupe) definitely get the DAB.

I've been in to the dealers today to amend my order to include the limited slip diff. (changed my mind for the second time) Dont know if I will ever see the benefit but if you spending close on 70000 on a car the cost of the diff is pretty negligible. Also if I didnt include it I would always be wondering if I should have. Actually I think if your buying this type of car it should be in the price anyway. Especially if you specify the performance pack. I also think that charging nearly 1000 for the AMG suspension is a bit of a piss take. Still, nobody forced me to buy it, I suppose.

Not really. The car i drove didnt have one but i also didn't drive it as hard as i will my own. Only a muppet jumps in a car and tries to take it beyond its limit before getting used to a car.

Spec the lsd coming sideways out of corners is great fun ! once you are used to the car - save a few hundred do you need the six cd changer ? the car has a huge hard drive for storing music put this saving towards the lsd

If you can go for the ppplus the extra 30bhp is felt and the car sounds better than a standard spec car

I have driven back-to-back C63s with and without the LSD. I didnt know that the 2nd car I drove had an LSD prior to driving it, and was never told by the salesman, but I could most definitely tell when driving the car.

Do you need it? Of course you don't NEED it, but you will benefit from one. After my back-to-back drives, I changed my order to include one. And now after having the car for 1 month, I KNOW I would have regretted not specifying one.

Hi all, I've recently taken delivery of my C63 saloon which has (amongst other things) 19" wheels and the uprated performance suspension.

I do not believe this is the same suspension as previously offered in the pre-2010 PP cars as I think AMG have worked some magic here. The ride is firm, but not too harsh IMO, and it has noticeably better stability and body control than without.

My previous car was an E90 M3 with EDC and I would say my C63 is roughly equivalent to the middle setting of the EDC on the M3.
