Afternoon!

Just a quick hands up to see who has a third party warranty?

I've just tried to make a claim from Motorcare on a faulty gearbox electrical plate
(Aberdeen MB dealed said component failure)
which the warranty company have now rejected.

First claim I've made to these clowns and they have been a nightmare.
The MB service assistant has been on at them for most of the day which is above and beyond the call of duty:)

I'd recommend giving Motorcare waranties Ltd. a wide berth folks.
Biggest waste of £500 I've had in a while!!

Regards,
Ryan

Keep trying, some of these companies do try it on, it's not in their interest to pay out.

I'm not sure, I've got to go and pick the car up at 5pm and will find out more then.
I've had the work done any way as I didn't fancy chancing a dry gearbox due to the leeking gearbox oil.

I've been trying to get hold of Motorcare to get an answer but they will now only deal with the garage until the claim has been closed out.

Tell them you are going to get Trading Standards involved pronto and actually phone them at the Council. They are very powerful and eventually can force the business to close down if they are indeed a "shady" outfit - public due not use them enough.

It will frighten the business.

I may be getting somewhere now, I've spent the majority of the day on the phone to them and now they want receipts of servicing to back up the service history. Bearing in mind I've only had this car 6 months I've only had it serviced once and will send them the receipt tomorrow.

Still no explanation on why the claim was rejected initially.
