Tinted FRONT Screen

Yup, I had to do a double take to be sure.

A black Golf with dark tints on all the side windows and lighter but noticeable tint on the entire windsreen.

I couldn't get a picture because we were in motion and it was behind me, but as it sat next to me at the lights I looked at the tax disc and sure enough it obscured by the tint.

Dumb or what?

Call me a Chav but I'd love to be able to tint my screen and side windows. Would keep the car a lot cooler in the summer and look better

I saw a car where the front sidelights were fitted with red bulbs driving around Louth. Fortunately it was in a one way system at the time.

Move to Russia Steve! Frequently see cars (MB, BMW, Porsche etc) with FULL tint all round. No laws against it there..

There was a huge clampdown on windscreen tints after premier league footballers were getting them done.

What about night on unlit roads - you'd have to use the light from your texting to see where you were going.

I could see a point of this in places like Nassau - too bloody bright outside, but here?!

Don't know about tinted windscreens, but it makes me recall Billy Connolly's wonderful story about prescription windscreens for the visually impaired.....

Move to Russia Steve! Frequently see cars (MB, BMW, Porsche etc) with FULL tint all round. No laws against it there..

And everyone gets around fine. I've got rear tints and side back window tints and never have difficulting seeing out of them, really would like it tinted at front as it would stop the dark interior getting too hot.

Chav Chav Chav Chav. Just calling everyone a Chav as all windscreens on cars are now tinted. Admittedly only very slightly, but they are.

I remember many years ago , long before the days of stick-on tint films , being up in Aviemore and seeing a black W100 600 Pullman with heavily smoked glass all round such that you couldn't see into the car at all - this included the windscreen .

Proper Mafia staff car .
