i have just finnished swappin the twin electric mirrors from a 320ce (late 124)to the widebody(early 124).
straight swap but aukward to get wires into doors. it took me about 7 hrs to strip and remove mirrors and loom from donor and then strip interior, install mirrpors and loom, then replace interior in recipient.
makes car feel more modern.
happy.
but... drivers door central locking didnt work when i left car...
